So, uh, that was the end of the Katie thing, right? Kudos to TPTB for having a natural, normal ending to it. Very sweet, actually. Poor Rodney, being just so Rodney. John truly handles him much better. He GETS Rodney. And speaking of John, he once again demonstrates his knowledge of Rodney's deepest darkest secrets. He knows Rodney's password! How married is that? Oh Katie, you didn't stand a chance.

John and Rodney also play computer golf games together. ::loves::

Ronon needs much hugging. I'm just sayin'. JM was especially lovely tonight, all gruff and heartbreaky. I'm not quite seeing the chemistry between him and Keller, but I still enjoyed their scenes together. And their almost-kiss.

Radek! Radek saves the day! Yay!! (okay, so yeah, team effort, but it all came down to Radek). And did he take a peek at Sam's cleavage when she pulled her shirt off? Oh, Radek, you sly thing!

Yay for Sam, on general principles, because I'm really enjoying her presence this season. She gets to be smart, but doesn't save the day.

And John worries that Teyla will go into labor because he's locked in a room with her! ::dies:: Oh, John.

Teyla looked gorgeous and she got to be smart, too, and then the baby kicked and she made John feel it. I might have gone a little melty at that. It was so very sweet.

I am filled with warm fuzzy feelings. There was so much in the way of lovely character interactions in this ep, characters that don't get to interact a whole lot. I loved it all. And it was fascinating to watch them all try and get out of trouble without relying on Rodney. Poor, hypochondriac, pessimistic yet touchingly self-aware Rodney.

I love my show!

Rodney asks John to be the one to give his memorial, is the first person he runs to to tell about his proposal, gives out his passwords to him...I don't need a tin hat to know that in canon these are two guys that are best friends and love each other, the only thing that diverts from fanon is the lack of pants. :)

John looked so damned *stunned* when Rodney said he was getting married! There was one point he almost looked like he was going to cry. ::wibbles:: Poor John!

I felt so bad for Rodney at the end, too, cuz even though it simply wasn't right with Katie, it still hurts. Poor Rodney!

It's a good thing Rodney's not alone, isn't it?

I thought it was way cool how Ronon opened up to Keller, and she did to him. The almost-kiss was fun! *g*

I'm loving Sam now. She's become this 3-D character. Thank god. I wasn't sure it was possible.

And, and, the cactus! Anyone else think that was really, really phallic and a bit disturbing...and by "disturbing", I mean funny as hell?

I LOVED THIS EPISODE! Character interactions rock!

I'm so loving this season.

The first thing John thought of when he realized that Rodney was without his computer wasn't that Rodney couldn't save the day, but that he'd be freaking out. *hearts so much*

And Ronon made me cry when he was opening up about Melina. JM did a fantastic job.

The password thing was HUGE! And I was sad at the fact that Rodney didn't realize it was a break-up until the doors were closing (however, I'm very happy at the way they ended it)

Hee, you said everything I would have said about the episode. I never hated Katie, but she and Rodney are just so not to be. Because, yes, it would have been bigamy because Rodney is very much married to John and doesn't even know it. Unfortunately for poor John, he does know it, I think and it must really break his heart to be encouraging best friend when the guy he loves is going to ask someone else to marry him. You need to write that, I think. With porn. *g*

I'm glad that Radek got the credit, he gets it so little, good for him, it's a confidence booster..maybe this will be what he needs to go for it with Sam! *smile*

I loved Ronon in this, and for some strange unknown reason I'd really like him and Keller to hook up, there is something about them, I don't know what it is, but it's sort of sweet..and is it just me or is Ronon like the confessor there..everyone tells him everything..I think it's because he doesn't pass judgement, he totally tells it how it is and that's it..nothing more.

Now for John and Rodney...well, I would say something but my brain melted from the fact that John knows Rodney's password!!! Add in, John, in true John form, shuts down emotionally, and Rodney, he sort of shut down physically..see what happens when they are separated. *smile*

Loved all of it.

Wasn't it wonderful to see some of the other characters tonight?
And the look on John's face when Teyla reacted to the kicking was priceless.

John's terror of panic!induced!labor! cracked me up. It really wasn't that far off the mark that John was going to jump out the window because Teyla made him talk about feelings. Hee.

The ending of the Katie arc was so not what I was expecting (I expected death, or something perhaps less... death, but still tragic) but I liked it. It broke my heart because (((oh Rodney))) but it was real and normal. And Katie and Rodney *didn't* have the chemistry. It's not just that I'm a slasher. It's the truth. John and Rodney have the chemistry. (and, okay, the slasher says of course they do. HAIMARRIEDPASSWORDMARRIED)

It’s like, not even lunchtime and they’ve been hanging around Rodney’s lab all morning just chilling with their computer game? They couldn’t bear to be apart from one another after they woke up all wrapped up in each others’ arms :D

This was SO AWESOME. There was like five or six times that I was saying to myself "JESUS!". John is carrying the BIGGEST torch for Rodney- he loves him like crazy. He LISTENS when he talks. He REMEMBERS things. He knows Einstein, Newton, and RODNEY's birthdays. He's WORRIED about Rodney more than ANYONE else.

HE'S BATMAN.

I really felt like one of the points of the ep (maybe unintentionally??) was that Katie and Rodney just don't know each other or have a strong enough relationship to make it through a crisis, while Sheppard knows him so well he normally can get him to stand up and save the day. As well as knowing his password...

I joked to my husband while watching Rodney's proposal get stopped by the quarantine procedure that even Atlantis knows Rodney needs John more than he needs Katie, and was determined to prevent him from proposing. After all, Rodney with Sheppard has saved Atlantis time and again...

Also, it's significant that Rodney decided to propose after Jeannie told him he couldn't do better, basically, and after Sheppard basically talked a man into suicide to save Rodney. It just makes it feel less about poor Katie, and more about Rodney suddenly wanting a normal, safe marriage... That's my slashy interpretation and I'm sticking to it.

It was fun. And Radek going through the vents! The constant Czech, which I wish I knew what he'd said, because I'm sure it was funny.
