That's about all I have right now. Yes, I've watched the car scene with Steve & Danny about ten times so far, and no, that was not eye-fucking. That was eye-lovemaking. Because their faces, the most smooshiest faces of LOVE that I've ever seen. Oh, and I adore Max. And while White is a total Mary Sue, I like him. And Kono? you don't try and take Kono down with only one guy, because she'll kick his ass with BOTH HANDS TIED BEHIND HER BACK.

Chin Ho Kelly should wear a uniform more often. I'm just sayin'.

I wish they had given the Rachel/Danny thing a little more weight in the ep, but I get that it's the Action Packed Premiere. So hopefully we'll get a better resolution on that next week. Right now it's making Rachel look like a bit of a flake, and I don't like that. Because she isn't. And I'm firmly convinced that Jenna is a double agent. I refuse to believe she's working for Wo Fat. I like to think that she has her own agenda in taking Wo Fat down, which just happens to coincide with Steve's and that's why she's working with him.

In conclusion, Steve LOVES Danny and Danny LOVES Steve.

Seriously, the car scene, the looks were not of two friends. I mean, Steve looked thoroughly in love, and Danny, I mean. That rearview look, I just. No words. And to think he lost Rachel, for Steve, this tells me all I need to know. All of it.

And I hope for more Rachel, too, because this was just handwaved too easily. And this episode had Steve emoting all over the place, I want some from Danny, too. I love how he reigned himself in to make sure Steve was all right, though, that's just. The love.

Oh, HELL yes!! :-) Which was one of the most important messages we needed to see coming out of 2.01, given the nightmare can of whup-ass 1.24 unleashed on them all. That scene in Max's car really set the bar for future carguments.

I'm hoping they pick up the Rachel stuff in coming episodes, and make it more fleshed out. But I do understand her! I mean, I don't think they're good choices, really, but I get how in the middle of so much muddle - especially emotionally - all kinds of things seem like the right thing to do.

And I'm with you on Jenna. She's a double-double agent. She will always be a double-double agent no matter what the show tells us :D

I think the way the Rachel/Danny thing turned out is like...out of real life. That is how these things can sometimes happen. Or a lot of times. I belong to a women's group. And, believe you me, there are stories that are more out of left field than that.

But, that car scene was very....shippy.

And then I watched the extended gag-reel posted on one of the comms today which ended with Alex and Scott holding hands running down the beach together and my life was complete.

Amen to that! I could watch it 1000 times and never get tired of it.

I still have a hard time believing Rachel is really pregnant. Seemed too much of a coincidence for Danny to be distracted like that. And you know what Chin says about coincidences: they take a lot of planning. I still think it was blackmail by Wo Fat.

I bet we eventually find out she "looses" the "baby."

I don't know where the writers are with Rachel; her character has been too split-personality-like from the beginning. She's been shown to be cool and manipulative (how she managed to meet Danny; crashing her car into the neighbor's gate so Danny could escape without detection), yet wildly irrational (threatening to take Danny back to court over visitation after the football field incident, yo-yo-ing between Danny and Stan....she immediately hooks up with Stan when her and Danny fall apart, and moves thousands of miles away with no thought about the impact on her daughter, now she boomerangs back to Danny when things get rocky with Stan. Not to mention the completely irrational urge to leave Hawaii immediately in the absence of coercion by Wo Fat---again with no thought to how this will affect her daughter. They've made her come off as completely cuckoo).

Jenna.....I don't know what to think of her. I think I need to make my own post about the ep!

I chose to focus all my energy last night on the "giddy" and have glossed over some of the plot holes and less satisfactory stuff for the moment. :)

The love between the whole team was awesome and the car scene and the yelling and Steve looking Danny up and down in jail...HUMINA!

At this point with the whole Rachel thing, I worry that the more the writers try to fix it, the worse they'll make it and the worse she'll come out in the long run. I will say that the "resolution" makes me question why they bothered with the plot device in the first place. So we would believe for 5 minutes that Danny might be leaving HI? There were much less messy ways to accomplish that.

One thing I did think about though was the fact that Steve sat in jail that whole time believing that Danny would be leaving him eventually for Jersey. :( Poor woobie.

Off to work...okay. Off to watch the ep again.

agreed x1000000. I really hope we get a bit more of this storyline and it doesn't just get waved away. :( it'll be interesting to see how they interact with each other this season.

I could watch the eyes-in-the-mirror scene on repeat for days. so much love. and Scott did such a good job getting the perfect worried tone of voice mixed in with his yelling.
