H50 S2.08 "Lapa’au”

Okay, raise your hand if you went back and rewatched the couch-gument before moving on to the rest of the ep. :D I certainly did. Twice. Just to make sure I really saw what I saw. Danny sniffling over an alien giving birth, Steve being his smoothest with the arm on the back of the couch, heck, Steve trying to SNEAK into Danny's apartment. Why? Just because he could. Because he's so ninja. Except, you know, not.

I love that we've gotten to see the goofier, relaxed side of Steve in these past few eps. I've missed him! I was afraid the writers had forgotten that he's kind of a dork. And incredibly fond of Danny.

I absolutely loved this ep. It felt right. I loved all the Steve/Danny moments and of course, I loved the dog. He was adorable! And Danny with dog? The adorability goes to eleven. I'm just sayin'. Even with the poop in Steve's office (oh, Steve, your face.)

So nice to have Kono being Kono! Being adorable with Chin! Teasing him about getting the munchies! And Max, with the camaro. I love him more and more with each ep.

I never watched "Heroes", but I did really like the guest star guy. I hope he shows up again.

Also, would someone please explain to Five-0 that you should surround the suspect first, before announcing yourselves? Not that I mind watching them run, but, you know, it's getting silly at this point.

This ep hit all the right notes for me, and nothing felt rushed, even with all the supporting cast popping in to do their part. So happy to have my show back!!

OMG, I love the couchgument!!! I love when Smooth Dog (*snort*) says, "You okay?" Hee. And the little "Shh." "Animal." Danny TOTALLY calls Steve "Animal" when they're having sex.

I loved how STUPIDFACE FOND Steve was of Danny through this. His reaction to the dog taking a dump in his office was the barest of things - he's all, the dog means something to Danny, I'm just going to move right along . . .

I also loved the argument about "we" are not going to keep him. :)) Oh Steve.

*raises hand*.......... *twice*

I still can't believe they were watching "Enemy Mine" and the MPREG scene no less! I can't wait for all the fic! LOL

WE ARE NOT KEEPING THE DOG, DANNY, HE WILL SLEEP IN OUR BED, AND THEN, WHERE WILL I SLEEP?

Grunny (Greg Grunberg) isn't from Lost. He's from Heroes, and worked with Masi Oka on that show. I cracked up at the "Do I know you?" bit.

That said, yes to everything. Last night was the show I fell in love with again. Everyone was in character. The pacing felt right. And they managed to integrate Lori so that she didn't feel pasted on and didn't take time from everyone else.

And the DOG. OMG SO CUTE.

Amen to everything you said.

I never watched Heroes either but I knew Greg and Masi co-starred in it. I watched Greg on Alias and I thought he was adorable so I was happy to see him last night.

Couch scene was great and how cool was it that they were watching a pretty slashy movie.

I absolutely loved the timing in this episode - whoever did the editing was great. And I loved that Grunny played such a warm and emotional character - it was nice to see a reaction to loss that didn't involve gritted teeth and mayhem. (I still love you, Steve!)

The dog was challenging Steve for dominance AND claiming Danny as his! Of course STEVE WILL POUT OVER THIS!

I also think I need fic about Steve being miffed that the dog got preferential treatment from Danny all throughout the case and that Danny still hates Hawaii.

Also? That apartment is one huge metaphor for Danny's private life right now. Oh Danny.

Same here, I really loved this. I wish Chin and Kono had been in the final scene, but other than that, this is my Five-0 again. And my Steve. *snuggles ep*

Joe Halpin should write every episode. Nodding as I read this. Oh Steve/Danny Chin/Kono - this is what I've been missing this season - the effortless, natural chemistry of the team. So much fun last night with the bromance, the dog, Max, Fong and Kamekona. So happy to have an ep I could enjoy and savor.
