Fandom Year in Review. Sort of.

I was going to do that end-of-the-year fandom roundup meme, but basically I can summarize 2011 by AND THEN I FELL IN LOVE WITH DANNY WILLIAMS. ( I fell in love with Steve, too, but that took a little longer.) I wrote 43 H50 fics in 2011! Many of them are fairly short, plus several were co-written with the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] delicatale. Still, for me, that's a lot of words.

I also finally started watching Merlin this year, which I am enjoying immensely. The guys are adorable but while I read fic every now and then, it's not something I'm hugely fannish about. I've fallen for Suits in a big way, though, and I'm waiting impatiently for the new season to begin. That's the one thing that bugs me about USA shows, like Suits and White Collar--the seasons are way too short.

I seem to have fallen out of fannish love with SPN. I'm still enjoying the show, but I miss Castiel and it's just not grabbing me like the previous seasons have. It was fun while it lasted.

Okay, now I need to get my ass in gear now and do a bit of cleaning for my guests tonight. And get started on the snacks--I plan on trying out this Tiki Snack Mix. Pineapple and bacon, how could it go wrong?
