Fandom Year in Review. Sort of.
I was going to do that end-of-the-year fandom roundup meme, but basically I can summarize 2011 by AND THEN I FELL IN LOVE WITH DANNY WILLIAMS. ( I fell in love with Steve, too, but that took a little longer.) I wrote 43 H50 fics in 2011! Many of them are fairly short, plus several were co-written with the lovely and talented
delicatale. Still, for me, that's a lot of words.
I also finally started watching Merlin this year, which I am enjoying immensely. The guys are adorable but while I read fic every now and then, it's not something I'm hugely fannish about. I've fallen for Suits in a big way, though, and I'm waiting impatiently for the new season to begin. That's the one thing that bugs me about USA shows, like Suits and White Collar--the seasons are way too short.
I seem to have fallen out of fannish love with SPN. I'm still enjoying the show, but I miss Castiel and it's just not grabbing me like the previous seasons have. It was fun while it lasted.
Okay, now I need to get my ass in gear now and do a bit of cleaning for my guests tonight. And get started on the snacks--I plan on trying out this Tiki Snack Mix. Pineapple and bacon, how could it go wrong?
And in honor of the coming new year, have some random Steve and Danny:

Okay, so this one is Alex and Scott, but they're just so adorable.
Happy New Year!

My Steve/Danny obsession sort of snowballed and I can't get enough of them. :)

"..SO I KNOW WHEN TO DUCK!" I am SO glad that is not a phrase that randomly comes up in RL, or I would be perpetually giggling. ;)
I am very pleased to have made your acquaintance this year -- Bestest 2012 to you!

And now I have this image in my head, of Danny finding those snacks in Steve's fridge and going "That... That is so wrong, Steven. So, so wrong." :D
Happy New Year!

I basically did the reverse. But hey, the result's the same, right? :) I love your fic and I love your random picspams, so thank you for sharing those. Happy New Year!

Wheee! New Year!

I think he’s a contrasting fascinating puzzle.
This is a man that screams about regulations but by rebels against them by having a very non-regulation haircut. He yells at Steve about stupid stunts and doesn’t think twice about playing chicken with a jet plane. He loves to stand by 6’1 Steve and play ‘look at tiny, harmless old me, the SEAL did it’ and yet this is the same guy that never backs down from a fight. He plays a great dim and clueless Lt. Columbo as he shrewdly nails the perps to the wall. He appears to be incompetent about technology and yet uses the state of the art stuff around the office like an ace.
He comes off as this unsophisticated blue-collar dude at first until he drops the act and you get to hear the size of his vocabulary and the big words in it. He says a lot and yet how much do we REALLY know about him? His background is still pretty much a mystery. :)
Danny’s perhaps the most interesting character on the team.
