I also love self-aware!Rodney. I think there's a lot of evidence for it on the show. And I'm always ready for Rodney talk. *g* He's fascinating, and it's interesting to see the different takes on him in fanfic. He is, as you say, very honest with himself. I think he's well aware of his limitations--we see this especially when he does the problem -solving thing with Zelenka, he's willing to listen and change his mind when a better idea comes along. And when an idea like Sex With John comes along, he's very willing to take it into consideration.*g*
And I would love, love, love to see some hand-to-hand with Rodney on the show. Especially with the sticks. That would be wicked hot.
