Random Crankiness

1. Coffeeshops should serve good coffee. If you're going to serve watered-down crap, don't call yourself a coffeeshop. As a matter of fact, if you're going to serve watered-down good coffee, don't call yourself a coffeeshop. Call yourself a "Brown Water" shop. I really want to patronize small local businesses, but you know, there's a reason why Starbucks is so popular.

2. Sore boobs. PMS would be a little more tolerable if I didn't wake myself up at night every time I rolled over. Because--owie.

3. It's still not time for season 3 of SGA. There's still no promo pics. No spoiler pics. No naked Rodney. Or John. Sitting on my desk. What's up with that?

4. You know that little pull-down menu you use to choose your userpic for the post (on lj's web interface)? The icon descriptions are in alphabetical order, except that all the capitalized letters go first, and then lower case. That is really, really annoying.

5. I have a John/Rodney fic in progress that's not working, but I can't seem to start a new one, either. I'm totally stalled out. Which is pretty common for PMS, actually.

6. But at least I have a fabulous crankypants icon from [livejournal.com profile] mmmchelle. It's the best icon ever.

7. And now I'm going to try and install GIMP on my mac here at work, so I can actually get some work done. I'm not fond of macs. Macs are not fond of me. Wish me luck.

It was for work. I need to do some graphics for our website and newsletter. And it's not like we can afford to buy software or anything. Not that I'd want to. I've never used Photoshop. But I adore GIMP, so I'm happy to have it in both places now.

And yay for new chairs!

That's cool, too. I really enjoyed having to do stuff like that for work, and if you already know GIMP it should be fun.

Don't say yay. I'm currently pondering if I have to become a naked-poster just to stay on it. Or in it *slips off again* plus it has no up-down button or lever and it doesn't roll(?). But I can lean back :)

Maybe you need to use some of that rubber mesh stuff that they sell to keep your dishes from sliding around the bottom of the sink. Or the non-slip padding for rugs! That's what you need.

Or, to be naked. That gives me bad memories of shorts and vinyl car seats in the summer. Ouch!

Yeuch.
...
No, really. Yeuch! *g* Although more sensible than the suggestion to use a blanket, which would slip as well.

It's a bit too cold for nakedness. Although I could crank up the heating ... nah *kicks back and tries to stretch hands further*

New icon! It looks so big and clear. /inane remarks
