Seeing this in my e-newsletter from a local spice shop:
We created Hyde Park Seasoning in honor of the election of the first president from Chicago. Obama's Chicago home is in Hyde Park, a neighborhood in the South Loop that's home to many of Chicago's finest cultural institutions. Hyde Park was the site of the World's Fair in 1893, and now boasts the University of Chicago and several of Chicago's best museums. Our Hyde Park Seasoning reflects some of the best aspects of the neighborhood and the president, with bold peppery flavor subtly enhanced by rare African Grains of Paradise, grated shallots for elegance, and Hawaiian sea salt. Bright red bird chilies add heat, in a nod to the colorful Monk parakeets living in the neighborhood.
