I wrote a little
mcsmooch fic earlier today called
Evening Song, which was a total indulgence of my need for future fic schmoopiness. It's the kind of thing that makes me very very happy to think about.
Which came in handy today since I then ventured out to buy new clothes for work. Only to find that cute summer blouses STILL do not button properly over my chest, and those adorable empire-waist tops still sit too high on my somewhat ample bosom (I wear only a C-cup! Really! ...okay, sometimes D, depending on the brand). I know those seams are meant to go under the breasts, not across the middle. So not flattering. Apparently I am still taller and broader in the shoulder than the average woman. I suppose if I were ambitious I'd buy extra large shirts and tailor them to fit, but that would involve things like sewing, which I do not do.
So many pretty shirts out there, all on sale for ridiculously low prices, and I can't get a damn thing to fit. Aside from your basic t-shirt style shirt. Which I already plenty of.
However, I did get a swimsuit on sale at Kohl's for $30. Woo! It's one of those two piece tankini things, with the little skirt attached to the bottom piece. So cute! And on sale!
Who needs grownup work clothes, anyway?
