Ha ha, that was a funny joke, now show us the REAL finale where Mondo won, okay?

Seriously, that was utterly mind-boggling. Gretchen's designs were a snooze. And since when is fashion week about being wearable? Clearly, the world of fashion is beyond my ken. Gretchen's wins all season were puzzling, from that first dull as dishwater black dress in Ep 1, to the jumpsuit for that Times Square ad (a JUMPSUIT, very similar to the one I wore in 1975, except that one was powder blue--why yes, I am OLD) to this poopy brown print '70's collection she put on the runway.

Mondo's designs were cheeky and fun. And original. That black polka dot dress was a show stopper. I feel bad for him, but clearly, he's got what it takes, and I think he's going to go far.

I'm sort of embarrassed to admit this, because I don't usually get caught up in shows like this, but this morning I dreamed I gave Mondo a big hug and told him he was awesome. ::is such a dork::

I don't watch this show, so I have no idea - but I'm seeing lots and lots of people posting that they HATE who won. So clearly you're the one on the right track. (grin)

I haven't seen the last three episodes, but you know what? I kinda called Gretchen winning from around episode one or two because I freaking hated the bitch so that obviously meant that the asshole judges would name her winner. /facepalm

I don't think I even want to watch the finale now. grrrrrr

It really was bizarre. Mondo won three challenges in a row, Gretchen was in the bottom three at the end of the season, then all of a sudden she's the golden girl. I so don't get it!

I got SO TIRED of hearing her voice. She was a very unpleasant person. I'm sure she was named winner just for the shock value alone.

I'm still so baffled!

He could fund his own line by simply charging for people to come up and hug him, I'm sure. *g*

He seemed to appreciate it in my dream!

I couldn't believe she won either. The clothes were so drab department store. Not bad clothes, but not Fashion. I wasn't wowed by Mondo's collection either, but Gretchen was clearly the worst. It should've been between Andy & Mondo, with Mondo winning in the end.

Exactly! Andy had some really nice pieces in his collection. And they were definitely edgier than Gretchen's. I don't get it at all. ::sighs::

I couldn't believe Gretchen made it to the finale let alone won. But I should have known because I *hated* her stuff and that meant she'd win. It's happened before. But in this case, Mondo's clothes were just so damn original, fun, *and* wearable that I could not believe that the two 'fashion' people were arguing for Gretchen because of her wearablity! WTF? Since when is fashion fucking wearable? And mouseshit brown? Seriously? That color was terrible! And don't get me started on the lime green pants. omg Must stop ranting now, Gretchen isn't worth the energy.

Feel free to rant as much as you need to! I still can't believe it. After her first couple of (inexplicable) wins, Gretchen was in the bottom three quite a few times. That usually indicates that the designer is going to be out of there soon. I kept waiting and waiting for it to happen. Gah.

And yeah, all of a sudden "wearable" is so important. While everyone else is being dinged for their items being "wearable". Not that I found any of Gretchen's stuff particularly wearable. It was boring and unflattering and dull.

Mondo is absolutely brilliant. His clothes were fun and lively and vibrant. I'm sure he's going to do just fine. But it still burns me, because Gretchen just came across as such an unpleasant person to be around.
