As for the spoilers... given that everyone on the production from the Network on down through the cast realizes the 5-0 family relationship -- McDanno especially -- is the heart and soul of the show, I'm guessing they'll torture us with the cliffhanger finale and resolve it PDQ when the new season begins -- to do otherwise would cripple the show.

Alex says in that USA Today spoiler of his that we won't believe where/how McGarrett ends up, and I'm guessing either temporarily recalled to active service or else put up on charges for obstructing the Mattty investigation. Either one could result in the team being disbanded, but Steve locked up and facing criminal charges over Matty would put major angst on Danny, and would -- I'm guessing -- by necessity result in the governor shutting 5-0 down.

Man, I am NOT looking forward to a summer Hiatus of Hell akin to the one we faced with The Sentinel when they cliffhanger'd with Blair in straits most dire. :-(

Oh, if you go down to one of the earliest of the KGMB article & video links -- Sept 20th 2010 -- they're covering the pre-premiere press junket, and they've got footage I hadn't seen before of Scott and Alex sitting in front of the Arizona Memorial. The reporter asks them if there's going to be any romance developing, and Alex says he and Scott "find love... platonic love, special love. Man love, bro-mantic love." Words to that general effect. :-D He then asks Scott if he's found love, and Scott replies that he finds love wherever he goes. :-) They weren't any further into production at that point than the Mighty Mo episode, I think.
