SPN 6.19 Mommy Dearest

Just wrapping up brunch with friends at our place, and I'm still drinking mimosas, so I'm not sure how coherent this is going to be.



CAS! CROWLEY! CAS WITH CROWLEY! CROWLEY CLEANING UP CAS'S MESSES!!

That, right there, is the awesomest of awesomes. Right up there with DEAN DRINKING THE PHOENIX ASHES. Seriously, it just doesn't get any more badass than that.

But aside from the plot reveals (which I loved), I love love loved Team Free Will together again. Cas looking like a cat whose fur is being rubbed the wrong way, Dean all swaggery and making bad jokes and being just so damn proud of them, and Sam being all Dean-n-Sam again, half the time looking like he can't believe his brother is such a dork, and Bobby being exasperated and worried and ready for the doom and gloom. They are just so awesome together.

And Eve--dead now, uh, okay, while it was an amazing moment, it did seem kind of anticlimactic, considering she was supposed the be the big bad. But I guess those honors go to Cas now? And speaking of Cas, getting a full episode of him made me downright giddy. I really did miss him. Even the goofy over-the-top innuendo with Dean made me smile, because it was just that damn silly. Also, a baby in the trench coat. Aw, Dean, you hurt his feelings!

I'm sure there's a lot of serious stuff to be said about this ep, but, uh, maybe when I'm less tipsy.

I LOVED that Eve was a total red herring! All this time we've been assuming she's the big bad guy of the season but NO! IT IS CAS AND CROWLEY. :DDD I love that so much.

LOL this is the best SPN episode to see while tipsy! Because it was completely and utterly beautiful.

Big bad: I wonder if Cas as the (potential) big bad is another mislead. First it seemed like it was Samuel, then Sam, then Crowley, then Eve, now Cas. Maybe it's just someone we haven't seen yet.

I love that they're fleshing out Cas's character but it makes me wary. Please, writers, don't make him fab only to take him away from us.

Good question! I don't know what's coming next when it's comes to the Big Bad. Which is very, very fun. And frustrating.

I think I need to go and rewatch the ep a few hundred more times.
