The actual case was quite the snoozefest, but there were so good moments. Highlights:

1. Steve being very concerned that Danny was going to go and FLIRT with the swimsuit models.

2. Daddy's world? Really, Danny? Daddy? That's what you're going with?

3. Ridiculously cute science boy flirts with Kono. Turns out she was his first kiss. There are no words for how adorable that is.

4. CHIN. Stop being so noble. You're breaking my heart. And Kono's, too. DO NOT MAKE KONO CRY.

5. Cystic fibrosis girl. So. Cute. And surfer guy. Nnnngh. Yay for charity promotion!

6. Final scene, with Steve and Danny sitting on the bench holding hands. (Oh, come on, they so were). SWEET.

And then there was the promo for next week and my brain exploded. OMG!

I swear this episode was not for about the case at all, but mostly about the CUTE (the whole lab guy and Kono, just, ::hands::) and the (air quotes) SUBTLE JEALOUSY (Steve doesn't like Danny speaking to models, Danny jumps in before Steve calls 'Rambo-ette') and the fact that they're such an OLD MARRIED COUPLE (a bench? really?) and CHIN.
Oh, Chin broke me, I swear, I was yelling at the tv by the end.

You are absolutely right--so much CUTE in this ep! And Rambo-ette totally made me giggle. As did Steve's flying tackle. I was half expecting him to do the same with the girl at the end, when she ran out onto the beach.

And Chin, when I saw him at the end, gah, I just wanted to strangle him! DON'T DO IT, CHIN!

I wanted him to tackle the girl SO BAD I am a terrible person - I laughed at her so much when I saw her stop at the water, I kept on thinking '...what?'.

And oh, Danny's badass move with the barbecue, seriously *flail*. I downloaded it this morning so my flatmates and I could watch it before going to work (shared obsessions are healthy I swear), and we were cheering at the tv during that whole tackling/barbecuing people's FACES scene. Brilliant, I'd missed that (P Diddlee Doo running after people while recovering from a gunshot wound really doesn't have the same impact).

And yeah, this is basically what I told the tv. CHIN DON'T DO IT PLEASE TURN AROUND STOP OMG.
And then there was the preview for next week's episode and I think I will cry. It's a very strong possibility. Another one I will wake up at 6am to watch, no big deaaaal.

On one hand, I'm all 'yay for the team being quietly supportive and just being there for Chin.' On the other, I'm like 'Someone talk some fucking sense into him, he's CLEARLY NOT THINKING STRAIGHT!'

In conclusion, yes Danny and Steve were holding hands, because they're so that crotchety old married couple that bickers in between kissing.

I know! I loved that Steve understood that Chin had to do what he did, because of course Steve would do the same for his family. And he offered to call the governor, aw! I wish Chin had taken him up on that offer. Grrrr.

Steve and Danny were so very married at the end there, weren't they? :D

What's with all the running? She should have known she was tempting fate because Steve will FLYINGTACKLE at the drop of a hat! She got off easy, she really did. No tackle, no flying barbecue. :D

Which looked pretty owie.

As if she couldn't guess Steve would be on her in 2 seconds because the length of his legs is basically her full height. Nevermind.

It did, very owie! I read somewhere on Tumblr that there was a take where he tacklejumped the guy ala Steve, but it wasn't kept, they chose that instead. I am pretty satisfied.

I had to giggle last night when someone on my twitter list posted, "why do the bad guys always run on H50? It's an ISLAND. Where are you going to go?"

Oh that "you have surfer hair" and Steve leaning in toward Danny... it was just... GUH. Perfect. Like "aw, this girl thinks my Danno is cute".

Case? What Case? Other than Rick Springfield looked like a rack whore. WTF happened to him?

STEVE IS THE BIGGEST COCK-BLOCK ALIVE! OMG.

LOL So true!

Of course, I'm kinda glad they run, cuz then we get to see Steve do Ninja things. And Danny do smart assed cop things. And then Steve gets to smirk at Danny-- It's the little things that make a show. ::nods:: :)

It's pretty obvious that Steve doesn't like anyone flirting with Danny.

Except him. :D

The flying tackle rocked!

Kono and cutie pie first kiss dude are way adorable. I wouldn't mind seeing more-- except I think he kind of creeped her out there at the end. :/

The final scene? Fic. The promo for next week indicates that next week's ep? Fic. IN other words, this show is making fandom largely irrelevant! I approve. *g*
