some J/D smooshiness

Because I haven't played with Jack and Daniel in a while, and because my other fics aren't going anywhere. Kind of quick and dirty--I apologize for any errors.
The second time Jack comes, it's almost like being zatted. The release is powerful, so hard and deep that it leaves him shaken and breathless. His limbs are weak and useless, his body, utterly depleted. Sleep beckons, tantalizing and sweet. The bed is cradling his body, and he's barely aware of Daniel's cheek against his thigh as he drifts, weightless, brain buzzing and only static comes through as Daniel whispers to him about everything and nothing.
Jack doesn't remember any of it; of his brain not being his own anymore, of defeating their enemy, and the long sleep afterward. He only knows that he woke up to another one of their enemies, another battle that they somehow won, and that they all made it back to the base, alive.
When Daniel had told him it was time for them to go home, his voice was deceptively mild, but his eyes gave him away as they always do, a little too wide, full of need and burned out fear.
They went home and Jack embraced the full force of that need, and the fear.
A movement on the bed, a shifting of weight and then soft lips touch Jack's stomach, drawing him to the surface. He stretches, feeling oddly full, and he puzzles over it before realizing Daniel's fingers are still inside of him. His muscles twitch and clench, but Daniel leaves them where they are and Jack doesn't protest.
Jack knows Daniel isn't done with him, not yet.
A mouth on his nipple, and his name, spoken with a sigh. "All right, all right," he moans as he allows Daniel to roll him over, fingers twisting and making him want even though he has nothing left to give.
"Four months. Four months and you were gone but not gone but asleep and they wouldn't let me go to you." His voice is high and querulous, as if he still can't accept any of it.
"Back now," Jack tells him, needlessly.
"It should have been me."
"Couldn't be."
"I don't care. Four months, Jack." Hands seize Jack's hips, pulling him up onto his knees. Jack's legs hold even though his head doesn't rise from the pillow. When Daniel enters him it feels distant, almost as if in a dream. A vague background noise, it's Daniel still talking, something about Jack being gone before he was gone, about how watching Jack's mind being slowly eclipsed by the ancient's knowledge was like watching him die.
His last words penetrate Jack's brain, and he wants to point out that he *did* once have to watch Daniel die but he doesn't have the energy to go back to that awful time, to the nightmare that still haunts. Instead he cradles his head in his arms and pushes back, shoving his ass into Daniel lap, because now Daniel is alive and he's alive, so they might as well *live*.
"Come here, like this," Daniel says, an arm wrapped around Jack's waist as he heaves Jack up.
Jack reluctantly leaves his pillow behind and lets Daniel drag him onto his lap. His back slides against Daniel's chest, strong arms holding him in place. Warm skin all around him, and he can feel Daniel's heart beating between his shoulder blades.
Daniel kisses his neck and whispers his name, but he doesn't move, he doesn't push or thrust. He holds Jack, keeping him in place for what seems like forever although Jack could have drifted off to sleep. Daniel holds so tightly that his arms begin to tremble from the strain and still he won't let go, he doesn't let go until Jack reaches over his shoulder, his hand finding Daniel's cheek and lightly stroking it.
Daniel breathes in sharply, as if startled by Jack's touch, and his arms loosen, releasing him. Jack slips away from Daniel's body and the sensation is odd, like part of himself is gone. Gravity pulls him down and he's on his back, arms flung wide, the pillow so nice and soft. The bed welcomes him and he welcomes Daniel as his legs are lifted and Daniel penetrates him, fucking him with intent now.
Jack lets him take what he needs, lets Daniel curl his legs back against his chest and lets Daniel's mouth steal the breath from his lips while he lingers somewhere between wake and sleep. Daniel moves inside of him and all around him, pushes and thrusts until his breath hitches and his body jerks and Jack wakes up enough to hold Daniel as he comes, stroking his back while swallowing his soft cries.
Afterward, Daniel kisses Jack's face, his neck, and his chest. He won't lie still, he continues to move restlessly, kissing and touching until at last Jack pushes him off. Daniel makes a confused noise and Jack rolls onto him, holding him down, his hands gripping Daniel's wrists. "Sleep," he orders, as Daniel stares up at him, eyes dark and desperate. "Okay? Just--sleep now."
Daniel frowns, then nods. Jack covers Daniel with his body, cheek to cheek, chest to chest, hip to hip and only then does he feel Daniel's tension ease.
He sleeps, and sometime later Daniel does, too.
