Rodney had been accused of many things, but irresistible never had been one of them.
This line did me in, definitely. Very bittersweet [all the bitter before makes it sweeter now, maybe?].
Also, I love how Rodney kind of turn the idea of John + Sex = A Good Thing in his mind and then just went for it, you know? I've seen a lot of insecure!Rodney fics, and the do have there place, but self-aware!Rodney is probably my favourite.
That probably has to do with the fact that Rodney is [almost brutally sometimes] honest with everyone else, I just think he'd be honest with himself. I could probably take up a lot more space here and continue by doing an analysis of Rodney, but I think I'll stop. +lol+
Also, I like plenty of other people, loved the fight scene. There needs to be more Rodney hand-to-hand combat fic [and on the show!] because I think he'd be really good at it. It's kind of like with him and guns, really. He still panics and/or is nervous [as evident in both Suspicion & The Defiant One] but he is a good shot. Just think about the day he stops panicking, hmmm?
