We didn't get to see the conflicted, darker side of John right away. Whether it was just a matter of JF and the writers getting a better handle on the character, or whether it was intentially done, I don't know, but it's been very effective. A great contrast to Rodney's upfront and in your face kind of personality.
And yes, you silly thing, you are fabulous. Action, adventure, affection, angst (the real kind, not pasted on) and utterly convincing peguin fic, LOL, you can do it all. You started a whole new genre. So don't be discouraged! ::squeezes you:: It must be those darn hormones. They'll be the death of us, I swear.
