Thank you so much! There's a whole lot going on inside of John's head here--longstanding issues about his sexuality that go beyond 'don't ask, don't tell'. And yeah, I'd love to see the two of them do the stick fighting thing on the show. It would be the most fabulous thing ever, actually. *g*
