SGA icons. Nothing fancy, just indulging in the pretty. And the, er, goofy. John makes such silly faces, doesn't he? And mainly at Rodney, too. It's so sweet. *g*



John Sheppard, supermodel.


Because Rodney is indeed a wonder.


There's something about Sheppard's lips that really, um, interest me.


Because he is.

I recently capped "The Rising", and I was really struck by how snotty Sheppard was to Sumner.

Like, someday I will come up with clever text.

Because sometimes, he's just SO very Rodney.


Okay, so I really wanted to use that font for something.


Sheppard gets an eyeful.


He's so pretty!


And yet, so goofy.


I just love this expression.


I just liked the juxtaposition of the two of them.


It's all about the lips.

I thought it was a bit of an odd choice for the big macho hero guy, you know? *g* He looks...delicate. Like he should be snuggling in bed with Rodney. And young, too. They blurred out all the crinkly little lines around his eyes, which you can see in some of the promo still from stargatecaps.com, like here:

And, yes, I do need to draw him. But first, I need a few photos I can stick in a notebook and carry around. That way, I'll get a good enough feel for his features/expressions that I'll actually feel relatively comfortable drawing *original* piccies of him, instead of just duplicating a photo. Of course--to do that, I'll probably end up drawing a few photos first but *eventually* there will be original art.

But like I said, I'll first need to print a few photos to carry around with me. Not that I'm looking forward to it or anything, of course not, no sir. :g:

Oh, I agree. I think it makes him look like he's laughed a lot on his life, and that he just might start laughing again any minute.

I got more RAM for my computer, so making icons has become much easier. GIMP doesn't hang up juuuuuuust as I'm putting on the finishing touches anymore. Much nicer.
