John is very gifted. *g* And Season 3 is soooooo far away, it makes me sad. They start filming today, I believe, so I'm looking forward to hearing little tidbits about the new eps.

I'm so glad you enjoyed "Still"! It was interesting to have the story go in that direction, little power games between them like that, it's kind of hot, isn't it?

I've noticed Rodney's black t-shirt is looser than this one. I'm sure DH would look at the pic and be mortified by the belly, but I think it's adorable. And the shoulders are *hot*.

The black t-shirt is definitely looser, and I'm sure you're right about DH's reaction, but I think he looks good too.

I'm not sure they could have made Elizabeth's shirt any tighter, and the jacket just accentuates how tight it is.

How did you make this icon?

It's so smooth, yet sharp, and sort of glowy and it looks gorgeous. Tell me, please? Before I go insane? *puppy dog eyes*

Eeep! Thank you so much! That's so kind of you. That's an old icon, but I can probably guess what I did with it.

It probably went something like this (Oh, and remember, I'm using GIMP, but I think most of the steps are the same in Photoshop).

1. Crop pic
2. Resize
3. Sharpen to about 25 or 30.
4. Adjust levels to brighten the pic
5. Duplicate pic, set top layer to overlay (or "soft light").
(5a. I probably desaturated the color on the bottom later a bit.)
6. make a new layer, fill with a pale peachy color, set to overlay (brightens and warms the pic).
7. flatten image
8. enlarge to 400%, then, with sharpening tool (convolve tool) with small-ish round brush, go over John's hair, eyes, nose, lips, and jawline. Any maybe his ear, too. This is John, after all. *g* Be careful not to oversharpen.
9. switch tool to blur and smooth out his skin--usually his cheeks, forhead, and side of his neck.
10. Set view to 100%, do final adjustment of color saturation and light levels.
