SGA 2.20 "First Strike"

thegrrrl2002I loved this ep. I loved it today, and I loved it way back when I first saw it. I don't have anything terribly thinky to say because I'm so not about the thinky. At least not today. I thought it was great fun--submerge the city! Make it fly! Make Lorne move an asteroid! Make dorky comments about being a cool team! John and Rodney were pretty damn cute and for an 'action' ep, there were a lot of lovely character moments and that's what I like to see. Especially the opening scene--I always want to know about the mundane parts of their jobs so hearing about them having to do employee evaluations really tickled me. And the way John dealt with it (he was so proud of himself) made me laugh and laugh. Oh, John, you big dope.

Is it just me or are they looking particularly silly here?
I love this picture. I don't know why. They're just all kinds of pretty, sitting there staring at their papers. And, um, wristband.
I thought Rodney was looking particularly fine in this ep. I think it's the new shirt.
It's a style that works well on John, too. Especially when he rolls his sleeves up and sits with his hands clasped like the princess that he is. *g*

And then one of the most adorable character moments ever: John's Fantastic Four comparison. I swear JM is about to crack up.
Yes, John, you have a very cool team. (Note to directors: please to be having cute character moments in bright sunlight next time, thanks very much)

Again, with the dark room--are they trying to save on energy bills? John and Rodney have a totally married moment, but it's practically in the dark!
Okay, they're forgiven, because of the look on John's face. He's thinking dirty thoughts. And Rodney apparently can hear them.

John is totally hot in the chair. (Gateworld has better pics of this, though). Question: between Rodney in "Tao", and John here, which one is hotter in the chair?
Although...John all sweaty and flushed when he's done with the chair? Yum.

As for the chair question, I might actually have to say Rodney, simply because he was glowing when he was in the Chair in Tao. It was so easy to imagine John there with him, which would be my favorite Chair scene: Both of them, doing things that the Chair was not designed for... *g*
