List five things you'd want to see more of in fic. It could be general, like, "More handjobs!" or a specific storyline/AU/pairing, etc. It could become this big positive thing and we'd all get ideas and yay! This could also spawn some recs. You might read one and say, "Hey! I (or someone else I know of) wrote a fic just like that!"



1. Domesticity. I have a huge thing for John and Rodney being all domestic with each other. It's probably why I adore so many AUs in this fandom, because set up John and Rodney together in a house? I'm just all kinds of happy. I just love the idea of them dealing with normal, everyday things together. Heck, a fic that consists entirely of them in a grocery store would make me squeal for days. Especially if they have sex in the kitchen when they get home.

2. Inexperienced first time sex. As in 'I was straight before I met you, but I'm going to figure out this blowjob/penetration/whatever thing, just for you'. Whether it's one or both of them, I love them just groping around and trying to get things right. And not always succeeding, but having a damn good time anyway.

3. Threesomes. I love a good threesome. I'm kind of particular about them--it has to be about John and Rodney, and the third personal (male or female) should be there only for the good time (although, of course, someone they care about). Or to fill a need. And everyone involves needs to be okay with the situation. But when it works, it pushes all my buttons in a big way.

4. Realism. John has hairy forearms, Rodney has a little round belly. Things like that make them special.

5. Humor. I love humor in fics, especially the type of humor that sort of grows organically from who they are. And if they laugh together in bed, even better.

Except for the threesome (monogamy is my big kink, and why I instantly fell in love with Donald and Timmy), I agree wholeheartedly with these. Most especially 2, 4, & 5. Lots and lots of #5 because they can be such very silly men. :)

#3 is totally my kink. I have seen it called OTP+1. Threeway relationships don't work for me except in rare specific cases, but let them bring in someone for a night and I'm all for it. (I have a preference for MMF, there may or may not be self insertion involved ;-)

I agree with your other points too, except #2 usually only works for me with Rodney. My reading of John tends to be nowadays so very, very gay that it's hard to convince me he hasn't been with a guy before.

I know what you mean about John, too. He's sort of fixed in my mind as very gay too, but I can buy into him having wanted to be with a guy but never managing to do it.

1) Absolutely domesticity.
2) I actually love it when John is gay, has known and acted on it (discreetly) since forever and Rodney is bisexual and has fooled around happily. I love it when what makes their bond special is that they're new to the soulmate thing, the way they click and compliment each other. How they fall in step, both in mind as literally. And how this makes the sex also extra amazing and an experience like nothing they've experienced before.
3) Your icons are distracting me to the extreme. In my '&style=mine' setting, your default and the icon for your post are sitting right next to each other. John looking at Rodney and Rodney looking at John. Now there's a serious kink of mine, the way they look at the other, while the other is busy doing something else.
4) Rodney's body. I mean, I like John's just fine, but Rodney... No, I can never get enough of the mention of any part of his body, and I love it when John explores him thoroughly and finds out how sensitive Rodney is.
5) Sounds. I love Rodney being vocal *points at the remark about him being sensitive*. I love moaning and sticky sounds, wet slaps, whimpering, squeaking of bedsprings, headboard bumping into the wall. And lots of mention of names.

Domesticity, oh yes! I've a little scene of John puttering in a kitchen in my big bang fic. Actually something like that is also in another fic (idea) of mine. I just love the image: John happily going about with pots and pans and Rodney looking over his shoulder and trying to steal a taste (of both food and John). And it leads to sex and also Rodney calls John "the best wife ever" even though John can only cook things like Spaghetti, but Rodney cannot boil water and also has no taste and is just so besotted that anything John cooks for him is the best thing imaginable.
