I have to admit, I've never ever called it flatware, and nobody I know does either. I think 'silverware' might come up when we refer to fancy stuff. But mostly we say 'knives and forks' and assume it encompasses everything.

Maybe it's a regional thing?

Even dieing men can see the love between Rodney and John.
This ep has so many moments that make me go aww and *squee* and laugh at the slashy goodness and love of John in sand and Rodney with gun and arms. Then again I'm deranged.

LOL! I've been watching off and on today (now I'm watching my taped S3 season finale in prep for tonight's premiere) and just grinning like a loon. It's such a fun show, and I love the characters so much. :-)

It's fun to see S1 again, isn't it? They're still finding their way character-wise at times, yet they're still them, if that makes any sense. Rodney and his adorable snarky moments, and John being just so taken with him. Sweet!

I'm running through the pilot right now and a) if I was Sumner I would've smacked John upside the head when he did the 'Dr. Weir's in charge' comment and b) I forget how much Rodney's bulked up until I rewatch the pilot and go "whoa, he was tiny and non-muscled back then!" I like my bulked-up Rodney :D
