Okay, this is maybe the coolest ep EVER. Seriously.Random reasons why:

The part where they--John and Rodney--the two of them--together--in each other dreams. i.e. the final ten minutes of love and Rodney wants to go back in for more to save his boyfriend John!!!

Evil John. Creepy, creepy evil John with the little grin and did I mention creepy?

Aw, Heightmeyer! Not cool. But a total surprise, and it really upped the tension.

Not-Evil John's little zippy shirt. He was extra pretty in this ep, wasn't he?

Keller! Keller and Carter!! What a lovely little moment between them!

Adorably grumpy John on the jungle planet. A kaleidescope. Oh, John.

Bouncy Rodney and his bet.

The final ten minutes of love. "I thought there'd more hot girls". But no, it's just the two of them.

John's sweet little expression when he wakes up and sees Rodney. If the beds were any closer they'd hold hands.

Lorne. Guh. Armed and barefoot shouldn't be so hot.

John, Evil John, Rodney and a clown in a rowboat. During a thunderstorm. With a whale. "You know, this really isn't as strange as you led me to believe."

The ending. Aw! If every ep ended this way, I'd be a happy happy girl, no matter what the ep was about.

And the weirdest thing about this one? It was written and directed by Rob Cooper. Who knew he had it in him? This ep should be subtitled: The One Where They All Love Each Other.

There is so much fic fodder in there. SO MUCH. Also? John's hair was hot and floppy when he was in that row boat. And that "Don't be afraid." all earnest and soft and GOD. *FLAILS*

The only thing that was weird was when Rodney said he didn't see "Alien" when he was a child, only at an old film festival when he was 16... but the movie came out in 1982. Wouldn't Rodney have been about 16 then?

Hmmm, the IMDB lists it as coming out in '79, but still, that's only three years. For some reason I'm assuming Rodney is 39, but I don't know why I'm thinking that. If so, he'd be about 12 when it was first released?

I knew by three minutes in that this was going to be one of my favorite episodes. I geekgasmed at 42, and it just got better from there. John vs. John! Rodney to the rescue! And no hot girls!

I reserve the right to interpret John's "yeah" there to mean he'd just realized there were no hot girls in Rodney's dreamscape either. And then they totally kissed. They did! The camera just cut away ten seconds too soon.

Also? Add me to the crowd who have watched the final fifteen minutes or so too many times to count.

John's 'yeah' was totally a moment of realization, of his great big love for Rodney and that he totally needed kiss Rodney, right then and there.

And they did. Really. And Keller was wondering why both their heartrates started to spike again.

From a non-slashy perspective, it was one hell of an episode with so much team love. I adored it and spent a lot of moments laughing though I think I was supposed to be angsty about some bits.

The clown just had me cracking up. John and Rodney rowing a boat and rubbing shoulders was hot... throw in them being wet and John urging Rodney on, I was a happy fangirl. And John volunteering to save Rodney and then the look on his face when Rodney died was just incredible. Rodney saying "Hook me up!" was hot and him battling evil John made me in those new uniform jackets made me squee.

I was tempted to shout out "Of course there are no hot girls Rodney. He's all into you!" :D

I don't think I'm capable of removing my slash goggles, but yeah, it was one heck of an ep. Tightly written, very creepy, and even though you sort of knew what was going on, it still had enough surprises to make me happy.

And Rodney and John in a rowboat. With evil John. I will never, ever get tired of watching that scene.

One of the best things, and this is crazy (especially when I realized that I totally spelled Doppleganger wrong in my post), but that even in Rodney's dreams, there was only John..that last bit when he said, "I thought there'd be more hot women" Yeah, amazing Rodney, no chicks but TWO Johns. *coughSOMARRIEDcough*

The moment with John brokenly walking down that corridor all alone was what got me, the way he stopped like he'd fall against the wall (after he thought McKay had died). FTW.

That was a pretty gruesome/awesome episode.

Very sad that Kate died though :/

On the up, I loved them having breakfast at the beginning and John being all 'was I a big hero saving you from a monster?' - I love it when they get their team love on.

John brought woobie to new levels, didn't he? Poor stunned John, he broke my heart but NotDead!Rodney put it back together again.

I was sad about Kate too.

There was so very much team love, it was a big tangible thing sitting right there in the middle of the screen. And I'm delighted with how Carter is fitting in--I admit I was dubious, but I'm impressed by it's working so far.

This episode made me the happiest of happys. The dreams, the boys in each others dreams and saving one another. It just... There was such *love* Everyone loved one another, but John and Rodney loved one another best and most.

I have moments of high-pitched squeeing everytime I watch the canoe scene. Their banter and John's pep talk and then *bam* he's there helping Rodney.
