John and Rodney - together, they are dorks invincible.


Separately, they're pretty damn cute too. John with his excitable hair (obviously very excited here)


And his rarely-captured-on-camera, but still quite lovely eyelashes.


I love when he's all slouchy and squinty and ruffled. This is a look that says 'ruffle me up some more please. Now'.

He's pretty damn pouty.


On the other hand, there's Rodney's mmrowr pissiness.


And his pretty pretty panic. Oh, Rodney. ::pets::


And when he says "John", fangirls get wibbly all 'round the world.


Best of all, though, is John and Rodney together.

Looking through screencaps of all this togetherness lead to the discovery of what I like to call The Cheekbone Cam.


It's been around since the early days - I don't have many S1 caps on hand, but here's one from Duet. Oh, Rodney, you and your lovely cheekbones!

It seems that with John, we get EarCam. Hee! It doesn't have quite the same charm. I guess their faces are shaped quite differently?


And lastly, as further proof that I spend way too much time with my screencaps, check out the lovely reflection pool surrounding the main tower at sea level. I'll bet everyone goes and hangs out there, sitting on the edge, dipping their toes in the water, having all kinds of romantic moments. I'm just sayin'.

Cheekbone cam is a wonderful discovery. And you know, considering how many of John's moments of being awesome or hot or woobie are filmed riding alongside Rodney's head, is it any wonder we all figure we know how Rodney sees him?

Two observations: 1) In the Harmony cap John doesn't look the older princess in the eye (at least in this cap), but every one of John and Rodney their eyes are solidly on each other - I love that!

2) Even Rodney's pissy expression (and maybe in particular his pissy expression) - and he's still extremely climbable!

3) (okay I'm adding one) The cap from Adrift/Lifeline - you just know if there was a utility closet nearby, there would be hot angry!sex going on. Nngh!

Awesome picspam! I especially love the pic with Rodney's tufty hair, because in it, you can also see the old earring holes he has. I wonder if an earring could still go through. Probably not... :)
