I have viewed SGA 501. Eeeeee!! I've missed them so! It made me so HAPPY.



This episode filled me with glee. So many wonderful things. Top of the list is a bruised and battered John who is Just Not Giving Up. Aside from trying to tell Ronon to go and save himself when they're trapped underground. Yeah, right, like Ronon would leave him. Even though it was predictable, I may have squealed when they got beamed out. In the nick of time, of course.

And it was definitely a sweet moment when John learns that Rodney is alive:





And then he insists to Keller that he be allowed to participate in the rescue attempt, because he's lost one team member already, he's not leaving another one behind. ::sniffles::


Because of course, he's just fine. Ronon is so not buying it.


He even gets a talking to from Carter, but he is determined. Oh John, what you won't do for your people. ::squishes him::


Of course, John conveniently manages to be out of the room when Teyla goes into labor. Oh Rodney! You were marvelous, you truly were. Throw the baby underhand! He's no good at baseball! Aw!!


Teyla makes it through with far more grace and dignity. I LOVE how she handles Rodney. They were so beautiful together! ::sniffles::


And Rodney doesn't drop him!


I love Ronon carrying Teyla around like she doesn't weigh a thing. Could he rock any harder? He still has his gun in his hand. You know, I would totally buy tickets for the Ronon ride.


Nnnngh.


And of course, if our hearts hadn't gone squishy enough, we get John Sheppard in a Wraith dart holding a baby on his lap.


I may have rewound and rewatched this scene a few times. It was just perfect, the setup with Caldwell's remark, and then the reveal...totally awesome.


And finally, mommy has her baby in her arms. Teyla was just so utterly lovely in this ep.


And last but not least, Rodney is cute.

There was so much that I loved about this ep. The lost jumper, John and his wooziness, Rodney just being Rodney, Kanaan NOT getting killed, Ronon being all growly in the Daedalus infirmary, Teyla's baby's name, all of it, just just----eeeee! I missed my show so much!!

Please feel free to snurch the caps, they're not the greatest, but I just couldn't resist.

Rodney was lookin' mighty, mighty fine in that scene. But damn those dimly lit wraith ships! What, is there a shortage of lightbulbs or something? So gloomy! So hard to cap!!

Bruised and woobie John will never ever get old. I totally agree.

I'm assuming they brought Kanaan back to Atlantis, but I wish they had mentioned it. Maybe they had to squeeze in the scene with Sam back at the SGC, although couldn't they have saved that for the following week?

John bloody and bruised trapped under a big metal beam, John in the infirmary not giving up on another teammate and insisting on Keller patching him up, John learning that Rodney is alive, Rodney helping to deliver Teyla's Baby while Ronon and John try to make their escape possible, Ronon carrying Teyla, John in the dart with the baby, Rodney bringing flowers for Teyla, the infirmary scene with Teyla and John - the whole ep such a lovely piece of fanfic brought to screen. :-) I just *love* it.

OMG, Search and Rescue rocks! John trapped, dirty, and bloody, Ronon refusing to leave, John grabbing Keller telling her he's going, telling Sam to set the court martial after, Ronon and Rodney trying to get John to stay in the puddlejumper, Rodney panicking but delivering the baby, Teyla handling Rodney, the tenderness when the baby is born, "I didn't drop him", the looks when John and Rodney find out the other is alive, John with the baby on his lap (my ovaries exploded), John and Teyla in the infirmary - and everything in between! I love it. Ford! Awww, Teyla named the baby after John - I love the bond between the two. Oh, Team - I've missed you so. I am deliriously happy right now! I hope this is a harbinger of all of season 5. I love my show! Have to go rewatch and see what I missed.
