I hate to think that readers might feel badly about not commenting. Sometimes people are busy, or just don't know what to say, or just don't feel up to communicating with the world at large and reading a fic should make you feel happy, not guilty. Heck, it makes me happy to write them, and I just want to share the happy.

I'm going to try and not lose sight of that. I'm currently mired in a 20 000+ word Merlin big bang fic that I just want to get on the damn page, and I think I need to step back and remember why I'd thought it was a good idea in the first place.

Oh, I've so been there, although I've never even attempted to write a 'big bang' sized fic. (I'm pretty sure I'm incapable such lengths!) For me, it always helped to just get the words out and not to worry about how it reads until later.

Or to just put it down and walk away for a while. *g*

I am beginning to suspect I'm insane. It's all unamaga's fault. It'll be only the second Merlin fic I've written, and if that wasn't enough I'm also trying to integrate SPN mythos (Merlin and Arthur are Hunters) with traditional british ghost and faerie lore.
