I managed to miss "More Joy Day", so it's going to have to be a Late Joy Day post. I come bearing music. Songs what bring me joy, no matter how cranky I am.
Mama Guela by Spanish Harlem Orchestra (Un Gran Dia en el Barrio). This song is so exuberant, I can't help but bounce whenever I hear it. I highly recommend SHO. Un Gran Dia en el Barrio is my favorite CD of theirs so far.
Whose Cadillac is That by War (The Best of War and More). Because it's so catchy.
Ya Ali by Rico. Again, bouncy. I sing along even though I don't know the language. It's irresistible.
Bullet Proof by Alabama 3. (Power in the Blood). More defiant than joyful, but it makes me happy when I hear it.
Hello...I'm Johnny Cash, again by Alabama 3. (Outlaw). So goofy. It fills me with glee.
Sexy Saidi. This is from a dance class CD, and I seem to have lost the artist info. Fun and funky. And, like the title says, sexy.
Kitty's Back by Bruce Springsteen (The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle). Early Bruce! His second album. Still one of my favorites. The whole CD is so perfect, it was hard to pick just one song.
