I realized that my big sister will be visiting next week, so I probably won't be able to watch 5.18 until Sunday. Eeep! Although my big sister is so awesome that I probably won't even think about SPN until Sunday and when I'm all mopey and sad after dropping her off at the airport at least I'll have a new ep to look forward to. Not that I'm expecting a cheerful, life-affirming episode. Last night I started reading spoilers for 5.18 and couldn't stop. I then watched these three clips at ontd_spnparty and WTF? Bobby, you are so very awesome, Dean, you are kind of a dick, and OMG Castiel, you're kind of pissed, huh? And Zachariah, you're still so very...Zachariah.

Apparently someone shows up next week, someone who we would never expect to see again. I don't know who it is, and I don't want to know. Except that I do.

I think my brain is going to explode.

CASTIEL OMG. It all looks fabulous, but the Dean/Castiel clip especially is made of utter awesome, and I CANNOT WAIT.

That clip made me wince, and yet Cas is awesome when he's furious. And Dean, not even fighting back, gah, that just breaks me apart! I'm going nuts trying to figure out the order of the clips - in the first two, Dean looks uninjured, so I'm guessing they're in order. But at the end of the Dean/Cas clip, I figured that Castiel put Dean out so he could transport him back to Bobby's. But in the clip at Bobby's, he's not hurt. So something else must happen....Eeeeeeee I want to see the ep right now!!!

Yes, I'm really hoping they work it out after the fight and it's not left as some big cliffhanger! I think I might die if that happens. *g*

I love Castiel when he's furious and dangerous. But it's also ... that bit when he realises just how desperate Dean is, and his fist just unclenches? Oh, my heart! ♥ ♥ ♥

Okay, I'm lost. I thought I was caught up on all the SPN episodes I'd missed but who was that chick that Dean went to see at the end? I must be having a blockage, I don't remember her.

Lisa was from "The Kids Are All Right" (3.02), the changeling episode. Apparent Dean had had a fling with her around ten years ago and wanted to visit her before he went to hell. She has a kid, Ben, who is very much like Dean and Dean thought maybe it was his kid. At the end she tells him no, Ben really isn't his.

It would be interesting if she was lying at the time, and Ben really is his kid. And another potential vessel. Hmmm.

Anyway, I liked her, and it was interesting to see Dean suddenly thinking about a family of his own, but the scene with her really didn't work for me.

And aw, woobie Cas! He is awesome. I hope we see him again next season.

I've been catching the reruns on TNT, which is why I knew who Lisa was. Otherwise I would have been all head-scratchy about it too. It's been a while since I first saw the ep. And hey, bad writing if you had to wonder who she was!

It's a great show, but it's going to drive me crazy, I swear.

Think how awesome your week will be first with your sister's visit and then Supernatural viewing.

I can't wait for next week's, except I have to. I also have to wait for the week after as well. I won't see either until two weeks from this Saturday. Not that I mind (much...I'll be vacationing in Peru), but I want to know what happens to these guys. Those previews make me want to know even more.

I grow more fearful for Castiel each week. He's so angry in the previews, so I'm hoping Dean's decision snaps him out of his funk.

Oh no, two weeks! But then you'll get to mainline two eps in a row, that will be awesome. *g* Not to mention vacation, yays! Peru! That is very exciting.

I'm also very fearful for Cas. Not only does he have demons after him, the angels are probably pretty pissed too. And now he's beating down on Dean? I hope they make up afterward. That should be an interesting scene. I hope we get to see it next week.

I am afraid after watching these clips. Afraid for Bobby, but mainly afraid for Cas.

Yes, I've watched everything I could get my hands on! The preview made me wibble. I did not like seeing Cas face those demons. Although a good action!Cas sequence would be fun.

I'm fretting over him, too. I hope they don't kill him off. I'm guessing he will at least survive until the end of the season. And maybe past that - he's a very popular character, would TPTB be willing to face the wrath of a million billion fangirls? I don't think it was a coincidence that the ratings ticked up last season. Plus, having another semi-regular around probably takes some of the pressure off the two leads, who have mentioned how hard it is to film such long days. They're in practically ever scene of an hour-long drama, that's got to be a grind.

I'm hoping for the logic of "too popular to kill", too, more than I believe TPTB wouldn't be ready to kill him if it made for extra angst and a good plot.
But they'll think strategically. Right? Right?

But, oh, I was absolutely incoherent after I had watched the clips yesterday, so very worried that I sat down next to one of my closest friends on the bus and didn't even recognise him for a good two minutes.

I have your problem, too, by the way. I have my SIL over next weekend, and since she's only coming to Germany every 5 years or so, I of course won't be able to just dash off and watch TV. Nnnnngh. But, but. Cas!

Yes. There are so many potentially awesome Cas-related storylines that can carry over into S6, it would be ridiculous not to use him! They can't go back to the beginning with Sam and Dean, with the standard monster-of-the-week story. Been there, done that. No, we need angel power in S6, specifically, hotty-pants Castiel-related storylines.

I know what you mean about being incoherent, I'm so sucked into this show now that I have to shake myself out of it in order to get on with RL. Haven't felt that way since the height of SGA. And wow, this is bad timing for family visits, isn't it? *g* So many weeks of reruns, couldn't they all visit then?

And, yes, it's really quite intense, and even more weird for me, because I was never really interested in SPN before murron came and asked me to beta-read a story for her, and I couldn't do it without at least getting some context in episode form: She sent me 4.21 and 4.22. And my brain went *fizzle* and I was frigging hooked and each episode just makes it worse and worse, and, wow, while it's nice to finally be patient about a fandom again after SGA ended, this is almost worrisome. On the other hand ... I like the fact that I'm in good company. ;o)
Maybe we should make our families just watch the episode with us? They could hold our hand ...
