I thought I wasn't going to be able to watch, but I did! OMG! Too much for me to put into words right now, but I loved loved loved every second of it. Castiel is the most awesome nerdy badass angel EVER. I LOVED him taking down the other angels. He carved a sigil into his chest, for god's sake. It doesn't get any more badass than that. Uriel, eat your heart out.

Dean broke my heart then put it all back together with that little wink. I loved all the silent communication between him and Sam. And Sam, all grown up and smart. I love how this ep was all about the bond between them. I loved that they brought Adam back. And while I loved that Dean killed Zachariah, I'm going to miss him. Kurt Fuller is fabulous and I'm going to miss his petty, smarmy ways. The opening scene in the bar was the best.

One minor quibble - I thought angels can only be killed by other angels?

I'm sure Cas is all right (he has to be, right?) and Adam, is Michael wearing him now?

And will Cas get back his faith in Dean? Will we get a chick flick moment between them? We'd better! ::shakes fist at TV::

I'm sure I'll have deeper, more thinky thoughts when I have a chance to rewatch. Right now my brain is sort of stuck on omghotangel is hot.

Seriously Dean? Cas smolders at you and that's where your mind goes? That's okay, so does ours. Oh show, you are so awesome.

I loved it, too. I think that angels can only be killed with a special weapon. I don't think it necessarily has to be used by an angel. But I could be wrong.

This made me make DOLPHIN NOISES, because I'm quite sure this is the canon, and also Dean's eyes didn't melt when he was looking right at Zac, so. What does it all mean?! I can't WAIT.

Also! The smoldering! And the hotness! And Dean's smiling (not smirking!) wink! Aaaaahhhhhh!

He did look right at Zachariah, didn't he? I haven't had a chance to rewatch yet. But I suspect I will be rewatching many, many times.

Dean's face was so amazing in that scene, he's so broken as he looks at Sam, then his face changes and he winks and it's such a lovely, subtle moment.

This show makes me sooo flaily!!

I'm still flaily. I put the show out of my mind while my sister was here (we kept pretty busy!*g*) but now I can't stop thinking about it. I need to rewatch many, many times.

Interestingly, Sam was definetly cringing over the noise the angel was making, but Dean was totally okay. I think Adam was also okay with it, ie. the loud noise didn't even make him wince. I wonder if we'll later find out that Dean actually heard something while all we/Sam heard was noise.

Someone else on my flist suggested that since Sam and Dean are vessels, that means they can kill Angels, too? So maybe that's it. Or some other trick Kripke is pulling out of his ass. LOL

God, I loved this episode so much!

Castiel was just spellbinding. He made me all flaily. And Dean was being such an ass to him, which was oddly adorable. Hee!

I hope they explain how Dean was able to kill an angel, and not just handwave it away. Although at this point I'd forgive the show of just about anything (aside from killing off Cas).

I reckon it had to do with the shiny angel knives, myself.

Cas was the best (worst?) BAMF ever in that episode.

And I particularly liked the tone of the end of the episode. After nearly three seasons of distrust between the boys, it's good to see them on the same team once more.
