You were funny and adorable even though you killed a lot of people as the Trickster. I'm going to miss you. A lot. I grow weary of the show killing off characters that I like. It's lost its effectiveness and now just annoys me. Find another way to be dramatic, okay?
I'm not sure how I feel about this ep. I enjoyed watching it, and the Gabriel/Lucifer scene at the end was very powerful. The actors rocked it. But the tone of the whole ep seemed off to me, after the events of the previous one. I'm glad to see Dean back in fine form again but it all seemed a little too upbeat, considering the circumstances. They were adorable but the mood was jarring. On the other hand, I loved that the pagan gods had a summit meeting. They were awesome. Especially Kali. And Gabriel hiding in Dean's car will never not be funny. ::sniffles:: Loved all the scenes with Dean and Gabriel, and I loved Dean blustering his way through the talk with the gods. Talk about flying by the seat of his pants. And okay, I loved every scene with Gabriel, because I've developed this sort of thing for RSJ. Yum.
It was funny in an odd way to see Sam and Dean so scared of the gods. They were freaked out by the situation they were in, different from the grim determination we've seen in the previous eps.
Lucifer cold-heartedly killing off the gods was downright chilling.
Also, kudos once again to the set designers. That was one fabulous mid-century hotel. I drooled over the sputnik chandeliers in the meeting room.
Horsemen's rings! I'm glad they ended up meaning something. Keys to Lucifer's cage, although why the horsemen would have them doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me at the moment.
As for the ending, I adore Matt Frewer (he's always be Max Headroom to me) but, eeew, going for the gross-out factor now, are we? I may not be able to watch any of his scenes.
We'd better see Castiel soon. And it had better not be to kill him off, because I will never ever forgive the show if it does that. ::shakes fist::
