That felt...weird. (Although I suspect it was supposed to.) Sam seemed weird and Dean was all wrong. And I was worried that we wouldn't hear Lisa say anything other than "okay" to Dean, but then she called him an idiot and I felt much better about her still being written as an actual person. Things don't seem to be all hearts and roses between them, and while for Dean's sake it would be nice if it was, I prefer the realism.
Poor Dean, having Sam show up like that, and then realize Sam's been out of hell for the entire year. He was so perfectly pissed and broken-hearted. But Sam, what happened to you? You're not the same. At all. My heart breaks for both of them. They're so...uncomfortable around each other. It's painful to watch.
Very cool to have grandpa around now, though. And cousins! And family history! I like that.
After being so caught up in the apocalypse storyline, it's just hard to wrap my mind around the fact that it's over. And this ep was very clearly setting up a new story, which is very intriguing. And Dean is still very pretty.
At least Cas got a shout-out. I missed him. I need to see the pretty pretty angel back on my teevee, and soon.
Meanwhile, I need to watch this one again.
