WHAT?? WHAT WAS THAT?? OMG BEST EP EVER.

Honestly, of all the things I expected to happen, this was not among them and while I still ship Dean/Cas and want them to be happy, I AM YOUR GOD CASTIEL BOW BEFORE ME is maybe the hottest thing ever so, uh, my mind, it is boggled.

I am grinning like a loon. Plus, Bobby is still alive, and Sam is seemingly okay, and Dean is broken but still kind of okay (broken is the status quo for him) and Crowley is still around, so, despite my sadness over Balthazar's demise, I am happy about this. And the potential for an awesome S7.

And now I have to go and watch that last scene again.

Oh, man, I thought it was the most awesome thing EVER. I was ready to have my heart ripped out and while yeah, there was a lot of painful stuff going on, there's also such great potential for things to be put back together again next season.

I also loved 6.21--I'm so glad Lisa and Ben survived, and while I'm heartbroken for Dean about the memory wipe, it's truly the best thing for them. So much good stuff going on!

FINALLY! Another person who likes the idea of God!Cas. I've been reading grumpy responses to it all morning. I was starting to think I must be crazy to like it.

I can see Cas using his new, more cocky, attitude to try and woo Dean more. And Dean doing all he can to try and get Cas back to "normal" without having to kill him.

Although I wasn't happy to see Sam so readily stab him like that.

Also sad to lose Balthazar. :(

I haven't read many posts about it yet, but I can get why people might be upset. I see it as having a lot of great potential for next season, for Dean and Cas to restore their relationship. I really don't see Cas as being the permanent Big Bad. For one thing, with that much power, he'd be unstoppable. Not much room for conflict there.

So,yeah, I think there's some great times ahead!

I'm completely undecided whether or not I like it. Alas, this is one of those cliffhangers where it's how they resolve it that'll make or break it for me. It's going to be a very long hiatus ...

Yeah, the way they resolve this is going to be very important, but I'm just so happy that there's the potential for good stuff to happen! And bad stuff, too, which I refuse to think about.

I wasn't expecting anything like that! I didn't know what to expect, cuz SPN has thrown me for more loops than I care to admit, but CAS! CAS HAS DECIDED HE'S GOD!

So now Dean has to put Sam back together, because even though Sam managed to pull it together to help Dean, he's way too emo to just shrug off everything.

And Dean has to rein Cas in, because God!Cas? No. A gleeful no, but still no. :)

Bobby is alive! Crowley is alive! Cas is power hungry! Sam is Emo!

i personally don't like it because i don't like how Cas had to be pushed to the edge so many times and had to come to the realization that everyone betrayed him and was out to kill him or never forgive him before he finally broke and lost control and became God.

it's the circumstances under which he became God that i hate, not the fact alone that he is God.

I can understand that--and I really felt that it was OOC for Dean to flat out refuse to trust Cas, and to cut him a break. He had to know that Cas was trying to do the right thing.

exactly. i don't understand how he could call Cas his family and then outright refuse him completely. Sam started the freaking apocalypse and ended the world and Dean still forgave him. i know Cas isn't Sam, but Dean said something a long time ago about how family gets a blanket apology or something. if Cas was truly like a brother to him, then that would have applied to Cas as well.

UUUUGH MY BRAIN HURTS SO MUCH FROM THIS. so much i do not get. :|

This is the first hiatus since... um ever, I think, that I'm not all AHHHHHHH! I'm looking forward to Castiel as God because all he knows about humanity he learned from the Winchesters. This should be fun. In a OMG stomp on your heart kind of way, of course.

I'm intrigued by God!Castiel too, although I wonder how long he will be god-like. And yeah, I kind of expect my heart to be stomped on at some point.Which is why I'm reveling in the unstompedness right now!

I just don't want Cas to be 'the enemy' for the ENTIRE SEASON. It'll break my heart if him and the boys are at odds for 20 more episodes. If the writers do it right, Dean getting Cas back to normal could be one of the best things ever...but I kind of hated how he acted for the last two episodes and I feel like I can't trust the writers to make him care enough about Cas (or fix him for the right reasons).

Arg, run-on sentences.

Having said that, I am looking forward to fix-it-fic and God!Cas porn!

I have been saving up the last six episodes, and I just marathoned them and I was SO FUCKING HAPPY CROWLEY WAS STILL ALIVE!!!! And yes, that last episode was just so full of awesome (although I'd really come to love Balthazar and am NOT happy about his demise, but CASTIEL IS GOD NOW, and he can bring him back. Possibly.) And I am flailing with love and SO GLAD FOR A SEVENTH SEASON!!!!! OMGWTFBBQ!!!

Crowley still being alive was pretty damn amazing! I was giddy afterward. God, I love him. And Mark Sheppard.

Good point about Cas being godlike now, he can bring back anyone he wants! And smite anyone he wants. Yikes. It's going to be an interesting season!

I loved it. I'd heard that someone was going to die and I was scared to death that it would be Bobby but thank goodness that didn't happen. Castiel as God -- whoa, did not see that coming and it was a surprise that really packed a punch. I haven't paid much attention to the Castiel/Dean thing but damn, in these last three episodes, I've been turned into a BELIEVER. I saw it. It was there!

Yay, you're a believer! :D They really have such great chemistry, don't they? I was happy to see them finally get some juicy scenes together. This season had been sorely lacking in Cas.

I don't know what's going down next season, but it will definitely be interesting!

I confess that I've watched the last scene between god!Cas and Dean a few times. I love how Misha plays the scene and Jensen's interpretation of how Dean would be talking to the demented Cas. I like that they let the scene basically play out just between Dean and Cas, with the exception of the stabbing by Sam. I loved all of the scenes between Dean and Cas, though I'm not sure what to make of Dean's conflict about wanting to reject Cas but still wanting Cas to help.

I also liked that god!Cas is sort of like Robo!Sam, free of emotions and pain and sense of family. I fear that, since we got Sam back and that story has been told, we won't be allowed to have Cas back.

Not what I expected. In a good way, mostly.

Having said that, I'm not sure I'm good with where Cas ended up. I am going to re-watch later tonight and will ponder some more.

You watched! That scene final scene really was all about Dean and Cas, wasn't it? All of their scenes together were so packed with emotion, it was heartbreaking but also a lovely confirmation of how much they mean to each other. Very very intense.

I can see the story with Cas going to some wonderful places, but they could also let it fall flat, which would be disappointing. I think we will get Cas back, and maybe Cas will fall?
