Of course, then his loyalty and compassion and laughter sneak up on you and before you know it he's under your skin and in your life and he's dipping a napkin in water to wipe the shave ice syrup off your daughter's face and making her giggle, and smiling at you with that big, goofy smile and before you know it you're smiling back and helpless to do anything but kiss the taste of pineapple/mango from his mouth.
See? SMOOTH.

Date: 2011-07-22 08:52 pm (UTC)Steve's grin just gets bigger as Danny unknots his tie and shucks his shirt and then, just when Danny's watching, Steve will stretch, showing off all those long, golden bits of him that Danny babbles about at length when it's just the two of them wrapped up in each other.
Danny's gaze gets caught and Steve laughs softly as he says, "You kissed me first because I wanted you to. Because I am just that damn smooth," he adds, sliding off the bed and right into Danny's space.
He cups his hand around the back of Danny's neck and pulls him into a kiss: soft and gentle and sweet. When he pulls back Danny's eyes are huge and blue and they look more than a little glazed.
"I think I'd call that smooth."
Danny's eyes snap back into focus and then he scowls and promptly shoves Steve back and tackles him to the bed. "I'll show you smooth," he growls.
Steve laughs and lays back and let's Danny have his way with him.
