The Photo Meme
Nov. 11th, 2004 04:43 pmGakked from a whole mess of folks.
1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two.
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.
3. Include these instructions, and share the love.

Why yes, it is me and my sister preparing the Christmas antipasto.

Date: 2004-11-11 03:23 pm (UTC)BTW, it's my sister's house, the other sister, not the one in the picture. Just so you don't show up at the wrong place. *g*

Date: 2004-11-11 03:25 pm (UTC)No wonder my husband doesn't come into the kitchen when we're preparing it.

Date: 2004-11-11 03:52 pm (UTC)If you wanted to come to my house over the holidays and do a little cooking that'd be okay with me.
Just so you know.

Date: 2004-11-11 07:25 pm (UTC)The plant is an orchid of some sort, my sister grows all kinds of them, but I think that one was the kind with big pinkish purple ruffly flowers.
Was that helpful or what? ::giggles:: Okay, here's a better shot:
Re: What's that plant in the background?
Date: 2004-11-11 07:32 pm (UTC)And now I think your sister is some kind of magician, because I read The Orchid Thief once and I got the impression that orchids are really not very easy to grow, much less keep alive.
Goodness!
[ps: I'm glad you like my icon. I have enjoyed many of yours.]

Date: 2004-11-12 08:25 am (UTC)I'm pretty sure I made Dave take the picture, because we always have pictures of food from the holidays! *g* Plus Lisa had just remodeled the kitchen.
I think it's pretty funny you guys take pictures of the packages! Do you pose with them, or is it a still life kind of thing?

Date: 2004-11-12 09:28 am (UTC)Oh, so you say. But yes, do send me the picture. I'll be the judge of the silliness factor, thank you very much!

Both.
I rarely get dressed on Thanksgiving Day, so there will be no posting of the Thanksgiving pictures! None of them is an e file, anyway--they're all the old-fashioned kind.
We never go anywhere for Thanksgiving. It's our holiday together. We did this in self-defense when we kept going somewhere, then getting snowed in, and we couldn't get back to school to teach our classes. But this year, we're going to a friend's. As long as we don't have to leave town, I'm all good.
