Okay, it was sleeting out this morning. Sleeting. I can SO do without sleet. It makes waiting for the train extra-special, believe me.

Some non-Stargate fandom noises:

I am getting into this Netflix thing. I've watched 1 1/2 seasons of "Oz", and a half-season of "Queer as Folk" so far. Oz is an amazing show--the acting is fabulous, the stories are harsh and brutal and makes me both squee with delight and cringe in horror. I haven't gotten to the part with Chris Meloni yet, so there will be more squeeing in the future, I'm sure. Right now, I'm enjoying the hotness that is Terry Kinney. And Harold Perrineau. Yup, those are two very pretty men, right there.

I'm enjoying QaF just as much. I never expected the show to be so damn funny. I swear, it's like watching a train wreck, romance-wise. Yet they're sweet and human and they hurt and my love for Hal Sparks knows no bounds.

And watching good-lookin' guys kiss and get down and dirty never gets old.

I'm also loving NCIS ::blows kisses to [livejournal.com profile] kylielee1000:: It's a little over-the-top sometimes, with the plot twists and sledgehammer characterization. They're all Mary-Sues, aren't they? I mean, I adore Abby, but the super-scientist thing kind of grates. Computers, materials science, DNA--she does everything. And yet I enjoy watching it. It's fun, it surprises me, and yeah, Mark Harmon, whose little smile just kills me dead. So I'm not really complaining. Plus--eyeballs. That was pretty gruesome, wasn't it?

In other news, [livejournal.com profile] danvers has been making me very happy with her "Five Ways John and Rodney Never Met" AUs.The latest one is Entity, a "Ghostbusters" take-off. Yes, it's just as silly as it sounds. ::loves::

And [livejournal.com profile] maraceles wrote a Jack/Baal fic that I liked very much. No, check it out, it works, it really works! You've got to admit, there's some major sparkage there.

::dreams dreamy Baal thoughts::

Okay, yeah. Back to work.

Thank you so much for just going for it! Fearless slashing, that's what I love! Especially when it's damn good.

Oh, man...

You are so close to the Chris Meloni...my first episode of Oz was "Strange Bedfellows" - the third episode with Meloni in it. I'm sure you'll understand why I was caught up in the Oz fever when you see the scene in the laundry room. (Oh, and the episode before? The wrestling lesson in the gym? OMG.) So if you decide to ever read any Oz, please feel free to ask for recs...I know plenty. (My icon aludes to the strong held belief that some of us hold that in that first season, there was more being exchanged than just heroin between Beecher and O'Reily. heh heh heh...)

And QAF was really hot in the first season or two...but it kind of died out after that...at least for me.

Oh, now I really want the rest of those disks to come. I think I might have to bump them up in line. Laundry room, huh? I'm sure I'll be checking back for those recs. *g*

I'd buy into something between Beecher and O'Reilly. Yup. O'Reilly slays me, he really does. He's got balls. I love the way he plays everyone.

Yes, but the boys. The boys. Oh, and Abby too, of course. A few eps are just incredibly, incredibly bad, including the first one I ever saw, so I was convinced the show sucked. But mostly it doesn't.

Going to write some porny goodness for NCIS? Just asking.

The boys are adorable. I'm thinking the show doesn't need any plot, really, just give us the characters goofing around all day and I'll be happy. They're so entertaining. And pretty.

And I want to write porn. Instead of working. What's with all this work stuff?

I think I need cake. Or cookies.
