I don't like the whole "shepwhore" thing, but then again, I can see him as the kind of guy who just likes to have sex. A lot.

And I'm with you on the Shepwhore thing, and yes, now that he and Rodney have collided, heh, he does keep Rodney busy because he's firmly convinced that Rodney thinks waaaaay to much and the best way to address that and give Rodney downtime is much good sex.

It's that whole negative connotation, that someone who likes having sex is whorish. I mean, I know it's really just a joke, and it makes me laugh a lot of times when people use it. Because he definitely is a flirty bastard, isn't he?

I'll bet he's surprised to find out that once you really get to know someone, the sex is even better. Especially with Rodney. Once he relaxes and gets comfortable with John, he wants to try all kinds of things. *g*

Did I comment on this story yet? I think not... . I read it at work yesterday *cough*. No time or brains to comment then, sadly. But: I loved it!!! It's very very hot.

I like the whole community, and the wider the challenges are, the better the results, imho. I first thought that "Voyeurism" was too narrow, but the last two days showed tons of great responses. I've never been involved (as a reader) in any other fic challenge communities before, they usually don't hold my attention. This one does, it's incredible.

To me the main characteristic of Sheppard is that he likes to sex people up and then he doesn't follow through. See Teyla for example, how he treated her in the pilot? Since then - not a glance. What a tease.

That doesn't necessarily translate to whoring, just to playing his sexuality to the max and manipulating people with it. That's what I find fascinating about him. Yeah, I'm all for the angst potential there. He would be *very* hard to capture, probably impossible.

I'm not even into slash, usually. But on Atlantis, Rodney definitely is the person who fascinates Sheppard most, his hard shell and genius is the hook that could actually rope Sheppard in.

There have been so many great fics posted to sga_flashfic, it really is an active community and folks go in all different directions with the challenges. It's really quite wonderful.

That thing with Sheppard and Teyla, it is interesting--I've heard that TPTB had initially wanted to pair them up right up front, but after the pilot was filmed, decided not to. Considering all the flack over Jack/Sam in SG1, I guess they decided to back off of pairing people up. Which is good, because the Rodney/John interactions are so much more fun to watch.

Ah...I'm procrastinating on writing demand letters by going back and reading fic I didn't have time to read before. I'm SO glad I did.
