Yeah, okay, so this is what I've been doing instead of working. But, you know, dogtags. Sort of. They're being coy, hiding just below the frame of the image.
I should be cheerier, because I've finished my ficathon fic, after tormenting Kylie with it not once, but twice. I'm not overly thrilled with it, but it's okay. Right now I'm not overly thrilled with anything, especially the cramps. PMS plus cramps. Shouldn't we be getting the show on the road by now? I know it's my own damn fault, because I ate everything I shouldn't have this past weekend.
But that doesn't make me feel any better.
Gazing at Jack's neck does, though.

Date: 2004-05-25 01:34 pm (UTC)I think I may need to, like, steal that. Because. Ohmygod. Have I *TOLD* you about my humongous thing for Jack's throat? Or his collarbones? Or that little hollow at the base of his neck for which a poetic term doesn't apparently exist but *SO* should? (Plus the whole chesthair thing. But the throat. Oh. Inspires the most *visceral* desires to nosh. And no I have *never* been into the vampire thing at all, so that's not where that comes from.)
GUH.

Date: 2004-05-25 01:43 pm (UTC)Please, go right ahead and take. I'll happily share. That little hollow thingy, right there--it works for me in a big way. Along with the chest hair.

Plus the *DELICIOUS* collarbones.
Am always grateful to see Jack's chesthair. Just grateful that he *HAS* it, and every time I see it, I think, "oh thank god, a guy --" (RDA, obviously) "-- who resisted the prevalent Hollywood pressure to wax". Some guys are naturally less hairy, yeah, and overly-hairy guys are not a huge turn-on for me, either, but, I feel that the hairlessness is taken to extremes, and sometimes it creeps me out. I mean, without getting just too damned poetic about it, on Jack it's just the perfect amount.
And when it starts to be visibly greying? ::SWOON::
He's so MANLY.
Manly, man.
Date: 2004-05-25 02:33 pm (UTC)Hairless chests are okay, I suppose. It works on MS. But for me, being of italian descent and all, I like my guys rugged and hairy.
Re: Manly, man.
Date: 2004-05-25 03:31 pm (UTC)And see to me (also being of Italian descent:) hairy chests are 'eh.'
A little is ok:)

Date: 2004-05-25 06:15 pm (UTC)Sorry, distracted by the, you know, smoochies.
Our family history is lost in the mists, but I'm pretty sure I had a grandma out of Naples.
Re: Manly, man.
Date: 2004-05-26 01:20 pm (UTC)Prior to Jack, I was usually drawn to pale, skinny, hairless guys. So it's not like I have a lot against hairlessness. But the thing is, after a while, I just start to find the unvarying sameness of it...creepy. There are guys who you can tell are probably naturally hairless, or nearly so. Fine. But then there's guys who are just *too* smooth-looking and I get all distracted by them, wondering if it's natural or if it's a product of the demands of Hollywood or what.

Date: 2004-05-25 01:36 pm (UTC)Y'know, even just seeing the chain totally does it for me. The chain draped across that gorgeous bare neck and chest....
*ahem* Excuse me. I've gotten drool all over your LJ. How rude of me.

Date: 2004-05-25 01:46 pm (UTC)There, there, it's no trouble at all.
Chains. Jack. Chains. Oh yeah. Just...yeah.

And I adore jackneckandtags!

Date: 2004-05-25 02:28 pm (UTC)The cap is from upgrades, and I'm pretty sure I grabbed it off of JD_daily a few weeks ago. I can pop it up on my site, though, if anyone wants it to grab it from there.

Date: 2004-05-25 03:48 pm (UTC)I was disappointed with how my fic a thon fic turned out (pre-slash! Argh! The humanity!) But it is sufficiently different from the other Fifth Race fics I've read, which is good. For me.

Date: 2004-05-25 04:15 pm (UTC)I use irfanview for my icon-making, which is nice and simple and best of all, free. It does more than MSpaint, especially if you download and install the extra filters.
And I'm sure your ficathon fic is exquisitely lovely. Just like you.

Date: 2004-05-26 06:20 am (UTC)And I'll hold off pronouncing judgement on the "lovely" comment until you read the blobby Ent fic I sent you for beta. You may wish to retract the comment.

Date: 2004-05-26 06:33 am (UTC)Now I'm totally creeped out.
I should be able to read the fic tonight, I promise. Just don't sic that monkey thing on me, okay?

Date: 2004-05-25 07:16 pm (UTC)Gah...
Date: 2004-05-26 03:30 am (UTC)That's the purring sound that I make when I see the hollow of the neck and the chest of a hot, hot man. Have I mentioned that body hair does it in a big way for me? It does. And slightly graying body hair, somehow implying wisdom and strength, along with general hotness? Mmm.
Allow me to reveal that my husband competes nicely in this arena. And the thing I love best is that I can touch it whenever I want, run my fingers through it, feel the faint wiriness of it, the warm skin underneath...MMM.

Date: 2004-05-26 06:01 am (UTC)Chest hair is just damned inconvenient when you get that chocolate syrup craving.
And uhm, GUH spelled backwards is HUG...
Just wanted to point that out.

Date: 2004-05-26 06:26 am (UTC)And aren't you the crafty one with the words. Hug, indeed! Especially good when the chest hair tickles your nose.
