I should be working on my basics fic, but instead I wrote some pic_fic porn instead: Mai Tais and Planter's Punch. I'm sure you can tell from the title just how profound a fic it is. The subtitle should be "Because Grrrl Really Could Use A Vacation".

Thank you for pointing to your fic, it was very giggle-inducing. I loved it.

I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed by RL--we finally decided to take that big grown-up step and go for a pre-approval on a mortgage so we can start shopping around, and my hours at work get reduced. Temporarily--I know there's more money coming in but we don't know when, and I had just made the decision to stick with my shaky job because overall I like it but after two years of comtemplation I just want to go forward with the property-buying, you know?

the whole process of house hunting is quite something. it made me wish for the days of just picking out a cave. er, i do realize that's a bit nuts of me....but ack. my heart goes out to you with the whole situation of getting the approval and then dealing with the hours at work. *hugs*

i hope you find just the right place, and that the people you have to deal with during the experience are nice and have a sense of humor.
