thegrrrl2002: (John and Rodney irresistible)

Lots and lots of screencaps of

Oh my. Capping this ep was lots of fun. I made a few zillion of them.

First of all, I just wanted to say that it looks as if The Colonel has been hitting the donuts a bit too often. ::rubs the pretty Colonel belly::

Aw. Smiling, awkward Rodney with flowers. And a less-then-enthused sister. I just adore her expression here.

And here. When she looks out the window in the Daedalus and realizes she's Out In Space. I loved her reaction, because yeah, I'd be kind of freaked out, too.

Oh Rodney, look at you, in your cute little geek clothes!! ::dies::

There are a lot of Dancing Rodney Hands Of Exposition in this ep. ::is happy::

::giggles::

"Hi, I'm John Sheppard, Rodney's boyfriend? He may have mentioned me. Pleased to meet you."

"Meredith?"

Alt!Rodney!!! I love the heroic nature of his pose. It's hilarious. And so Not our Rodney.

John, you bad boy, teasing Rodney like that.

Poor Rodney!! But come on now, tell me you never teased the heck out of your sister when she was younger. She's just getting you back.

Again, body language. I love the difference between slouchy, relaxed Alt!Rodney and our more uptight version.

Alt!Rodney smiles a lot. It's pretty, yet somewhat unnerving.

Our Rodney is still the prettiest.

I love how this scene opens with Rod and Jeannie chatting, but we can see the reflection of our Rodney touching each other talking very closely with John.

"How can you not want to be with him? He's you!" ::dies::

And in a shoutout to "Trinity", we get a scene where John is getting into the transport, but this one is silly beyond belief because....

We get the goofy Shep head-tilt, and the peering...

Right up to the point when the door closes. Oh, John, you flirty big dork, you.

And suddenly grrrl finds golf extremely, inexplicably, HOT.

Yup.

HOT.

And John learns that Alt!John is a Mensa-chapter-attending geek.

Because of course, our John is so not a geek. Nope, not one bit.

Um....yeah. Much love for this scene, for so, so, so many reasons.

While capping this scene, I became completely fascinated by John's biceps. They're quite lovely, and are very busy during the scene.

Um...phallic, much?

Hee! I loved this little scene. It was very touching. And silly. And sweet.

Lots of Radek in this ep. Which is always a good thing.

She looks all kinds of pretty in this shot.

Oh John, you big smooshball, you. ::loves::

And he never tells Rodney why he's there. I wonder if Rodney ever learns that Jeannie saw the clip.

Fabulous moment.

Okay, raise your hand if you got all teary-eyed, too. I certainly did.

::sniffs::

And I love how Rodney is smiling when he walks away. It's so genuine and sweet. ::melts::

Is Rodney still not getting the team emails?

Best Ending to An Episode, EVER. ::feels the love::

Man, I loved this ep.

You're very welcome, sweetie!!

The toothbrush thing was pretty funny. I know nothing about the care and cleaning of golf clubs, but even I'm thinking that's a bit overboard.

How much dirt is there on Atlantis, anyway? *g*

And of course you haven't done that with a bridle or saddle or anything. Uh huh. *g*

er, i was just removing 7.3 mill-ounces of dust from the stirrup keepers on the saddle. *veg*

although cleaning tack can be very soothing and meditative. i'm sure that john cleans stuff all the time while he listens to rodney for that same reason. ;)

as for dirt on atlantis....um, 10,000 years worth of dust. i wonder which team member gets to clean up?

10,000 years worth of dust

LOL! Hadn't thought of that. But they were outside. Maybe he was cleaning out the salt? I'm sure they were getting a bit of ocean spray there.

yes to cleaning out the salt. and just keeping busy enough to keep his brain ticking over as he processes what rodney's saying/feeling/thinking.

They're really in the groove when it comes to each other, aren't they? *g*

very much so. it's a lot of fun to watch, especially to see how they create this feedback loop between them.

I got it from a golfer that yes, you do often use a toothbrush. Though considering that club has never seen real terrain... that was a bit much, yes.

My uncle is an avid golfer and he does the same thing to my knowledge. But I agree with you about the amount of dirt on Atlantis.
