Thank you to the lovely anonymous person who sent me pretty little virtual presents! Happy Holidays to you too, oh mysterious one! ::frolics in the ribbons::

I'm just about done with the Christmas shopping, yay! And I bought wrapping paper today. Even though yes, of course, I have plenty left from last year. I just love the stuff, and had to buy more. I spent a good half hour perusing the elegant embossed foil papers, all silver and gold and shiny, and then as usual ended up buying the stuff with the kittens wearing Santa hats. Because nothing says Christmas like kittens and Santa hats, you know?

Sadly, I was unable to find appropriately glitzy Christmas tree ornaments for my sisters. We never have a tree of our own, since we visit with the family over Christmas. I think it's my duty as the baby sister to make sure their trees are as festive as can be.

We're obviously not into that whole dignified Christmas thing. More kittens with Santa hats, I say! And puppies, too.

Which reminds me, I need to make copies of my new Elvis Christmas CD for them.

In other news, I think I might be done with the icon ficlet prompts. I didn't get to all of them, which saddens me because there were some very lovely and inspiring icons. Maybe after the holidays!

I do this every year, and I have more wrapping paper than I could ever possibly use. And yet, I am drawn to the sparkly paper like a crow. :D

LOL! And don't forget the shiny glowy ribbons, too.

Maybe this year I'll wrap everything separately (no putting two CDs together!) so I can use up as much as possible.

there's something very satisfying and comforting about having lots of fine wrapping paper in the house. although, my feelings about this might be influenced by the lack of wrapping paper that was useful in any way in my parent's house. they were good about re-using it. but seriously....the 1 x 3 inch scrap that was battered beyond all recognition could have been used for kindling. ;)

i hope there are other chances for ornaments before next week.

ps. i have a santa hat, but sadly it's to big for the action figure jack and daniel. er....unless they cuddle up inside it.

Hee! That's very good of your parents to want to re-use. But yeah, at some point you have to let it go. *g*

I might have to go out this weekend to get some good ornaments. There's still one store left that I have to check with. It's fun to go out to the stores when there's nothing you absolutely have to buy. Except maybe more wrapping paper.

And Jack and Daniel most definitely need to cuddle up inside that hat.

it's the letting go that was hard for them. which was odd given how non-traditional they were/are about the holidays.

much more fun to shop when you don't have to. although this weekend....::::shudders::::

and heh...jack and daniel in the hat. i'll see what i can do about that. *veg*
