thegrrrl2002: (adorable Rodney)
[personal profile] thegrrrl2002

Number of Stories:

Twenty-nine! Wow. Seven of which were co-authored with [livejournal.com profile] mmmchelle. I think.

Best Story:

Unanticipated Outcomes. Which is also my longest story. I find writing long stories very difficult, and I only have one long story in me per year. There were things I could have done better in this fic, (the sex scene still bugs me for certain reasons) but I think I managed to accomplished what I set out to: tell a story about Rodney falling in love, without being aware that he's doing so.

The best co-written story is Sex, Movies and Misconceptions. Although "Still" rates right up there, too.

Favorite Story:

That's a really hard one. I love all the ones we wrote together. And my favorites change with my mood, but right now I think it's Blue Skies, the post "Tao of Rodney" ficlet, simply because it made me happy.

That Time When John Wanted to Talk About His Feelings is a close second, though. Oh, John.

Story Most Underappreciated by the Universe in My Opinion:

Hee! I really can't answer that one, because I feel wonderfully appreciated.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?

Probably Elizabeth/Ronon, in Discretion. It's not exactly a fabulous story, but I am pleased with certain aspects of it.

Most Fun Story:

Everything I wrote with chelle?

Aside from that, then As Much As You Breathe because they're just playing and having smutty fun. And because John sticks his tongue up Rodney's ass while Rodney is on a radio call.

Sexiest Story:

Still, which was co-written with chelle.

Sexiest Moment:

Rodney jerking off in Connection. Even though it happens 'off-screen', I love that John gets him that hot and bothered.

Although, John allowing himself to get penetrated in Easy works for me, too.

Biggest Disappointment:

Not finishing that darned amnesia fic that is still lurking on my hard drive. I love the opening scene, but can't seem to get past it aside from various snippets and notes.

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?

Hmmm...I'm not one for taking risks with writing. I basically write to please myself. But writing Stellar was a big challenge for me. Coming up with backstory on MensaJohn wasn't anything I had ever thought about, but then there was that challenge and in a weak moment I signed up for it...and as it happened I was rather pleased with the result.

Biggest Surprise:

Again, a tough one. I'm surprised that I finished "Discretion". And that "Sex, Movies" turned out so well, simply because it was a longer story than chelle and I usually write together. Plus, I had some struggles with my sections of that. *g*

But overall I'd say that writing How It's Done surprised me, because at the time I had no intention of writing any MensaAU fics. Until I did. Twice.

Most Unintentionally Telling Story:

Meltdown. I have a real thing for hot sweaty summer sexin'. In case anyone hasn't figured that out yet.

Conclusions:

a. Writing with [livejournal.com profile] mmmchelle is fun.
b. Writing SGA fic is fun.
c. I love John and Rodney.
d. I still love writing about John and Rodney.

The end. *g*

Aw, thank you! You know, I thought I'd lose interest in it by this point, but no, not even a little. I write sporatically, and in the in between times I worry that I've lost the urge, but then suddenly a story will bite me in the ass and I'll have to write it.

So, not really worried about losing interest in it anymore. *g* Because like you said, so slashy! John and Rodney are the most adorable couple ever. And the writers are so into them. Sweet!
