Like just about everyone else on my flist, I'm sad and mopey about the end of SGA. I had hoped it would go one more season, figuring they'd use it as a lead-in for the stoopid new series about stoopid people who are not John and Rodney and Teyla and Ronon et al. Especially since it was doing relatively well in the ratings. WTF, MGM?

It's all just so wrong! I've been involved in the fandom since the very beginning, and still am enamored with the show. And John and Rodney. I wanted the show to go on forever, much like I suspect the fandom will. A movie is not the same as a series, but it's still a chance to see our heroes in action. It's not over! The John/Rodney love will prevail!

So, before I start singing "Always and Forever", one final word--okay, picture-- behind the cut:

Gah. I know. It's not a horrible concept, but still. They're going to have to work very hard for it not to be.

I don't mind the concept, but I'm a little confused as to how, y'know, the stargates are going to be involved. And I just love McKay/Sheppard so much that it will be hard not to resent new characters.

(Also, I will miss Chuck).

I know what you mean about the show. I resent it entirely. And I don't want to watch it. It's very existence makes me angry.

I'll be really annoyed if it turns out to be a good show and I end up liking it.
