thegrrrl2002Like just about everyone else on my flist, I'm sad and mopey about the end of SGA. I had hoped it would go one more season, figuring they'd use it as a lead-in for the stoopid new series about stoopid people who are not John and Rodney and Teyla and Ronon et al. Especially since it was doing relatively well in the ratings. WTF, MGM?
It's all just so wrong! I've been involved in the fandom since the very beginning, and still am enamored with the show. And John and Rodney. I wanted the show to go on forever, much like I suspect the fandom will. A movie is not the same as a series, but it's still a chance to see our heroes in action. It's not over! The John/Rodney love will prevail!
So, before I start singing "Always and Forever", one final word--okay, picture-- behind the cut:
"Sheppard is staring at my ass again, isn't he?"

Date: 2008-08-22 04:19 pm (UTC)I have the feeling that the decision came down from MGM (who I lay the blame on, personally). Wright and Cooper are probably just being politic about it. I'm sure they would have loved to do both shows, after all, it's what they do! Not to make excuses, but hopefully they did what was best for the franchise. I'd rather have the movies than no SGA at all.
Still, it just totally sucks.
