So, I had been obsessing over thinking about the MGM promotional pic that ningyouhime so kindly scanned into jd_daily. It has nothing to do with the fact that the quality of the image is so fine that you can see the little hairs on their arms and the occasional freckle on their shoulder, no, because that would be a pathetical little fangirly thing to even look for stuff like that.

But come on, for them to be standing thisclose and the way Daniel/MS practically has his crotch snugged up against Jack/RDA's hip? Sure, it might be two separate, photoshopped images, but even the fact that someone chose to do that with the images is really amazing. And while I suppose MS was trying to look tough and macho and heroic, instead he looks adorably pouty and whiny. Anyway, while carefully examining the picture, I've come to the conclusion that Daniel had been on his way to get Jack for their afternoon "supply run" to the stockroom, but instead Jack mistakenly scheduled a photoshoot for that time (the President insisted, really, he did, something about SGC training films). Daniel was so not happy. As a result, he was unbearably sulky and horny, bitched at Jack the through the whole shoot, and spent the timet thinking of all the ways he was going to torment Jack that night. Including not letting him come until morning. Or maybe never.

They certainly do *seem* to have gotten over any squeamishness about slash connotations... if indeed they actually ever had any, as many suggested was the case in S4 and S5. While I never bought the extent of the conspiracy theory, even to my eyes, the show certainly went through a much-less-slashy period and now all of a sudden is startlingly slashy.

...and wouldn't that be a series finale to remember...

If this is photoshopped, and after careful viewing I doubt it, this manipulator is amazing. Not only did said person manage to keep all of O'Neill's arm hair, but they also managed to add in shadow along his arm where it's touching MS's chest. OMG TOUCHING!!!

Hm. You know, I take back all my highfalutin' certainty about the Photoshopping. Having the higher quality image helps; I think they might actually be in the same photo. The quality of the shadows seems almost too subtle to be a Photoshop job. Also? Seems like a lot of effort to go to when instead you could just say, "Mr. Shanks? Move a little closer, if you would. Excellent. *snap*"

Of course, if it were me, it'd be more like, "Less clothes, please, gentlemen... now more groping... perfect! *snapsnapsnapsnapsnap*"
