Although it makes me worried for Weir's command and character development in general, but, we'll see how it plays out.

Me, too. I like Weir and I like her in charge, so this makes me edgy.

Seeing John confront a superior officer is interesting, however. But I still think I would have preferred more time for some of the recurring characters rather than bringing an established actor who will inevitably take some screen time away from the current cast.

It will be interesting to see how much screen time MP gets. I do hope that Weir remains in charge, too. It seems likely she will, especially since MP will only be a reoccurring character. Although she may have to fight for it, which would be interesting, too.

Oh, good, he's only recurring. That makes me feel better.

Although I do kind of worry about how this will impact John and Rodney's sex life. They'll have to be much more discreet with a colonel around.

Exactly. And you know as soon as John is injured or sent on a dangerous mission without him, Rodney's going to get that look on his face and all anyone will have to do is look at him to know he's in love with John.

Plus, it's so noticeable when he's happy. He just can't hide the post-coital glow, and John can't bring himself to tell Rodney to hide it.

You ever get in one of those frames of mind where you just don't do the things you know you should? Deliberately. With malice and forethought, even though they aren't onerous and the only person you're hurting by not doing them is yourself?

I'm going to get over my neurosis and do something useful now.
