We finally have a Zelenka community (ETA:started up by the intrepid
scifigirl)! Come and join
welovezelenka and we shall all squee in harmony over our favorite geeky Czech.
In other news, I've discovered that Bedouin dance kicks ass. My ass, specifically. I feel like I've been run over by a truck, and I have three more hours of the workshop tonight. It's incredibly fun and high-spirited and...ouch. Blisters on my feet and I think I pulled a muscle in my ass.
Owie.
I thinkporny smutty erotic slash would help me to feel better. It really would.

Date: 2005-02-22 02:59 pm (UTC)Ahahaha I love that scene. Feel free to repost in the comm if you like. You can link them on my webspace even. I just didn't want to join just to post them and then leave again.

Date: 2005-02-22 05:29 pm (UTC)I can imagine. Hey, make a bunch of icons, and post them all to the community. If you are so inclined. *g*

Date: 2005-02-22 03:34 pm (UTC)I might wait a while before posting them on the comm, just because they might be conisdered a little spoilerly for "Letters", and I want to start off with posts everyone can look at.
Although, I doubt if they're really spoilerly.
So cute! And clear!!

Date: 2005-02-22 03:47 pm (UTC)I guess it depends on how people define a spoiler. There are people who consider every.little.detail a spoiler, which I personally consider to be a bit drastic, but still respect. If I don't go and post big ass caps in the comments to some else's entry without switching on my brain first. *facepalms*
Hee, I do think he spoke Czech. It was so funny when he said "fail-safe mechanism" in the middle of it because there's no word for it in the Czech language. My dad is Serbian and he does it sometimes. He'll be talking to someone in Serbian and from time to time he's suddenly using a German word. That never fails to crack me up. :D
It's my favorite Zelenka scene, along with the one where... argh, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say it... 'tis a scene from The Siege I.

Date: 2005-02-22 03:53 pm (UTC)And I know exactly which bit from Siege I you're talking about. I just want to squeeeeeze him.
"fail-safe mechanism"--yup, that was pretty funny. I shared a lab in grad school with a chinese student, and when he discussed his work in Chinese on the phone all of a sudden I'd hear the word "plasmid" in English, then he'd go back to chinese. It was pretty funny.
