thegrrrl2002I'm still not totally thrilled with the quality of the caps, but I did figure out one thing--I can cap in WMP if I start up the file in PowerDVD first (and keep it running), or I can cap in PowerDVD if I start up the file in WMP first. I guess the video acceleration gets hogged by the first program. Cool!
Anyway, I've always been fond of this ep, it was to me the first classic Sheppard/McKay ep, and I remember being filled with squee first time I watched it. Sheppard already is doing the dorky thing (OMG, so cute!) and Rodney "I built an atomic bomb in the sixth grade" McKay is at his snippy, superior best.
John watching Rodney snarf down more than his fair share of the coffee. Exasperated, but yet, the love is already there.
Rodney's dubious "greet the natives" smile.
John putting the natives at ease with his dorkiness.

I know, I know, like this scene hasn't been capped a million times already. But look at the love! Right there on-screen!!! John so wants to kiss him.
Sunglasses porn. He's workin' it.
I wish the quality of this one was better, because I love the expression and the angle.
So, where's Rodney at the moment? Hmmmm?

Not to mention picking up on each other's gestures:
