Grant due tomorrow. Am I reviewing everyone's edits to the workplan? No. Have I done the budget justification? No. Have I even started the upload? No.
Am I already hitting "refresh" on flist? Yes.
In other news, I am having a good hair day today. Very curly. No frizz.
Okay, I'm going to focus and get some work done, and not think at all about the fic that I can't seem to write when the file is open in front of me, but as soon as I start doing something else, it's all I can think about.

Date: 2006-03-23 04:29 pm (UTC)Don't know if this is sold in America but I swear by the John Frieda 'Frizz-Ease'range. Not cheap but it lasts (a bottle of serum that costs about £5 sterling lasts about 4-6 months) and bigods does it WORK!!
The serum is just amazing. Put on just washed hair, calms even the most mutant frizz (like mine). There are other products that help too (Dream curls is especially useful) but it does what it promises.
Pantene shampoo and conditioner for curly hair (again, I don't know if American stores stock this) is a cheaper brand that works too but is best used with the serum.
Frizz-ease is a miracle worker. That is all.

My biggest realization, though? Do not touch the hair when it's wet. *g* So simple, but it works wonders.

Date: 2006-03-23 05:38 pm (UTC)The grant is actually going well. I very rarely do the workplan part of it here, since the bench scientists are involved in that. (I am the lazy desk scientist here).
But I do the budgets and commercialization sections and everything else. Federal grants are okay, the instructions are usually clear and straight to the point, but this is a state one, and god, the instructions are awful. It's like they just had a brain dump or something. Rather incoherent. And redundant. And since it's The Project That Never Gets Funded, I'm having a hard time putting effort into it.
What I really want to do is go watch KS being all cute and sincere again.

I've been using the Garnier Fructis products lately and I've been pretty pleased. The Frizz-ease stuff is pretty heavy if you want to have any natural movement to your hair, and yes, do NOT touch the hair, period.
Also, Kavan is way too cute and I wasn't *really* scared that he was dead in "Coup d'Etat", but I did heave a huge sigh of relief with Sheppard's "Lorne. Way to not be dead." Maybe even squee'd a little.

I totally agree on "Coup". I decided that he couldn't really be dead, because, no immediately identifiable body, but was kind of relieved when Beckett let us know it wasn't him. *g*
