thegrrrl2002So, since my mind's been lingering pleasantly in the gutter lately (yeah, I know, how is that any different than usual?), and in honor of the upcoming SG1 premiere here in the US (yay!) I thought I'd throw a question out there regarding slashy sex scenes:
Is there any type of sex or scenario that as a reader, you'd really like to see but haven't found yet? Or if you are a writer, that you'd like to write but just can't quite figure out a good way to pull it off, while keeping everyone in character? It could be a real nasty kink or just a particular scenario (mmm, public sex, *g*) or type of position or a threesome or toys or just something sweet and simple. I'm just wondering what kind of naughty, gulty pleasure stuff is lurking in everybody else's minds.
Here's mine: I've been trying to come up with a good way to write a Jack/Daniel/Daniel/Daniel/Daniel etc .fic. I'd love to do it, but I just can't come up with a scenario I can work with. I want them to be AU Daniels, coming through a quantum mirror, but after that it falls apart. Why are they all there? Where's the rest of their teams? How do I get rid of Teal'c and Sam, especially if they're off-world? And how would all those Daniels convince Jack to get down and dirty with them? (Funny, I seem to have no trouble believing that the Daniels would want to do it.) I can usually come up with plausible explanations for one or two of my objections, but after that it kind of comes apart. I don't want to go down the 'aliens made them do it' route, either. I just want it to be part of a fairly decent, in-character, somewhat plausible story, and I can't make it work, damn it.
But I'd love to do it. Because it would be fun and dirty and I think Jack would really, really like it.
Maybe one of these days.

Date: 2004-07-08 07:22 pm (UTC)in an AU where daniel's the last surviving member of SG1, he bullies Hammond into letting him go through the mirror to get some freaking help because they are Up Against It. Based on quick surveys of "near miss" universes, he picks one where he can SEE himself and takes the plunge, figuring hey, who easier to convince than himself?
But oops, that Daniel's only a civilian consultant. He doesn't know anything classified and has never been through the gate. In that universe McKay managed to jury-rig a dialing device but he has to stay home too - Sam never made it out of the Pentagon and Hardass!Jack only takes special-ops trained military through the gate. His team does not have a good survival rate. They shot & killed Teal'c on the first mission out.
So this Daniel is pretty much whipped, but he's convinced by Up Against It!Daniel that, while they can't use the gate to get help (can't really dial that undetected), they can and should use the mirror - which isn't guarded or anything, Civilian!Daniel is just too whipped to go against the military to use it.
So they do, and they wind up in Our Universe, looking for help for Up Against It!Daniel's Universe.
Easiest way to work it from there is that they stumble into Established Relationship!Jack & Daniel, notice the unrelenting hotness of ER!Jack (so different from Hardass!Jack and Dead!Jack), and work out an agreement with ER!Daniel to give Jack a hell of a birthday present.
There. I bet there's a hundred fics just like it but this one is yours. Go forth and make it hot.

I can't see Jack/Teal'c in that light, although they seem pretty close, so I get to picture two mouths and a whole bunch of hands roaming over Daniel's body. But then I always think that Sam gets left out, so then it turns into Jack/Daniel/Teal'c/Sam on some off-world stint where their work was done and they didn't have anything else to do for *hours*... nothing raunchy, just a bunch of what-ifs/dares turning into, "well we just did that." ;) Then I think, that's just way too many limbs, and although they're that close and crazy, can they really be *that* close? So I start thinking about Daniel/Teal'c while Jack and Sam sit on watch...erm, not watching Daniel/Teal'c... although...
Then I get into that whole Jack will one day show his love to Daniel, but till then Daniel will have some fun with Teal'c.
For your fic, how about:
Jack is missing 'his' Daniel (possibly Season 6 fic?). He manages to re-activate the time-loop machine on that planet from Window of Opportunity and uses the 10hr of each loop to jump through the AU mirror with a personal mission to get a different Daniel into bed... or couch... or even a table. Convincing some Daniel's into it could be fun. ;) If he times it right, he could make sure that he's in the storage room that is housing the mirror that he wants to jump through, at the beginning of each loop. As well, stack lots of different foods in a corner of that storage room too, so he doesn't wind up with that fruit loops incident again, lol.
As long as he could keep the SGC from de-activating the time machine within the first ten hours, then the SGC won't know that they're going through the loop process over and over again, until Jack gets rid of that itch of his. ;)
Or, it could be part of the WoO duration, where Daniel just happens to be with Teal'c in his universe at this moment of time, and Jack needs to find his own Daniel. *eg*

I still want a story where the Jack of our world stumbles on the Jack and Daniel of a quantum world (in some plausible way that I can't quite figure out yet) and they are bumping uglies in raw, graphic detail, lots of raw sexuality, and his own foundations are shaken by what he sees. In fact, I have about a million quantum mirror scenarios in my head. But I don't really want to write them, just read them. I'm selfish like that. *g*

Ooh, I just love a challenge. How 'bout this?
UST-only Jack&Daniel travel through the quantum mirror to a world in which a Rogue!Daniel (i.e., a Daniel who worked with the Stargate program until he butted heads with the wrong people and had to escape offworld through the mirror) has been recruiting (so far, two) other Rogue!Daniels from other AUs to form a crack quantum-universe-jumping, freedom-fighting team. Each of the Rogue!Daniels comes from a universe in which he was in a spectacularly intense established relationship with Jack that went terribly, terribly wrong (death, betrayal, etc.) but for each of them it happened at a different point in the timeline. So the team of Rogue!Daniels could, for example, consist of:
(As-yet-unseen) S13 Rogue!Daniel, assisted by
Bitter S5 Rogue!Daniel, and
Pouty Jailbait S1 Rogue!Daniel
So, each of the Rogue!Daniels is carrying a serious torch for his lost Jack...when their temporary headquarters is penetrated by UST-only!Jack&Daniel.
And smutfic, as they say, ensues. ;-)
You can get rid of Carter and Teal'c by having the former injured in the initial Mexican standoff between all parties. Then, of course, Teal'c would have to either keep watch over her or carry her back to the SGC for medical help. I'd suggest the former, so that you can write a few scenes of Protective!Teal'c and DoingQuantumCalculationsEvenWhileSeverelyWounded!Carter as palate-cleansers between the various courses of smut. The resulting Carter'sGoingToDieIn48HoursIfWe Don't Get Out Of Here! crisis would helpfully ratchet up the tension of the unfolding of the how would all those Daniels convince Jack to get down and dirty with them?--as would an impending or intermittent outside attack on the Rogue!Daniels' HQ...

I agree the emotional connection is critical to a good sex scene. Without that, there's nothing to draw the reader into it. You've got to feel the love. (or the angst, or the unhappiness, or what-have-you.)

I have a thing for Jack on his knees (without any mention of how "bad" his knees are), to Jack submitting to Daniel. Not because I think that Daniel would be such a great top, I'm not even sure about that. I just think that Jack would like it. Once he has figured out what he can do to Daniel's body, he can't get enough of it. And while I know that being on one's kness doesn't mean that you are submitting, I think it would for Jack. Just because he is such an AlphaMale. He would ask Daniel to order him around, but he won't make it obvious.
That's what I love so much about Anna S's The Other Half. The way Jack submits to Daniel, how he longs for the orders, and how much Daniel gets off on his power, once he has given in to temptation.
Also, Jack using Jonas. I'm so sure that they fucked. Jonas admires him, maybe even worships him, and what's worse -he feels responsible. And Jack is looking for a substitute. Maybe he doesn't admit it to himself, but that's why he uses Jonas, and that's why it is using, and not some affair. Jack never intended to use Jonas, but he also never intended to fall in love with him, and he doesn't. I don't think he is sure about his motives when he starts the whole thing, and I don't think Jonas ever wanted to turn his admiration into something more. He just goes along, because it's Jack, and he feels responsible, and Jack is his team leader and he is all alone on a strange planet. And then Jack blames Jonas for making him )Jack) use him (Jonas), and it's all very angsty and they look very pretty together. Also, there is lots of kinky sex, all the things that Jack would never have done with Daniel, because he has issues about them and he respected Daniel to much. Now he does them with Jonas, which is easier because then he can just blame Joans for making him do these things, making him want these things, and it gets even angstier. Nothing really kinky, I bet Daniel would have gladly tried those things, but Jack is a vanilla boy at heart, so he never asked Daniel.
Why yes, I have though about this a little. *g*
Another scenario that I love is fic where Jack and Daniel are discovered and have to live with the consequences. It's een done a lot, but I have never found one that I really liked. I don't want Hammond to give his blessing as soon as he knows, and I don't want Sam to turn into a homocidal bitch, and I'd like to NOT see Teal'c say "On Chulak, it is common amongst warriors..."
You know what I mean.

This may sound very stupid, but what about twins? You'll need AU Daniels, so why can't there be twins? Though I still don't know why they would come to this universe. And how Jack would manage to have sex with that many Daniel at the same time. Don't you think it's a bit too much for him? Did you read Anais's Mandragora? She managed two Daniels, and that seemed a bit much for Jack.
If twins don't work (and yes, there would be incest issues, so maybe it's not such a good idea), you could try cloning. That way, all those Daniels would think the same way, and if the original Daniel were already together with Jack, the idea to have a Jack/D/D/D/D/ orgy should come natural to him. I just can't tell you any reason why someone should clone Daniel in the first place.
Wait, I think I read a fic about that once, many different Daniels returning to the SGC. Can't remember who wrote it though.

Personally, I would like to see Paul being treated as some kind of erotic chew-toy by Jack and Daniel, but I've never come across a fic which quite managed to pull it off convincingly and I still haven't managed to write one. It really isn't easy.

Not really during the sex, although it can be fun/hot if the third person gets a slight glimpse, but some observations of how the people act around each other, some things the Third Person notices that the couple doesn't, or some things that the Third Person clearly doesn't get while the members of the couple do.... That type of thing. Though I don't like when the whole story is focused on this aspect, like the Third Person has no life, and all they can think about is that couple. Much better when it's interspersed with some action or other types of observations.
Also I like not-on-base elevator sex. :p
